🇺🇸 Imprisoned by the US government for feeding the poor!
In his first public interview since the closing of the criminal case against him, Sayyed Muzzamil Zaidi speaks about how raising humanitarian aid for Yemen got him arrested and facing nearly a life sentence in imprisonment on bogus, politically-motivated charges.
In 2024, Basira Press reported on how the FBI deliberately lied about the details of his case and the court proceedings in their public press release.
As we approach the month of Muharram and the Day of Ashura, we should remember the story of Muslim ibn Aqeel, who was targeted by the tyrannical regime of the time. People who had once stood with Muslim suddenly turned their backs on him out of fear or some other worldly reason, instead of standing firm in defense of him and the truth.
We hear that story every year, yet we repeat the same folly by abandoning those among us who are a thorn in the side of the tyrants. In this interview, Sayyed Zaidi spoke about how he was abandoned by many people within the community and how it is a mistake to think that sitting on our hands and minding our own business will prevent us from being targeted.
Martyr Malcolm Shabazz, the grandson of Martyr Malcolm X, also dealt with the same issue. When the FBI started to harass him and his family, some people in the community abandoned him.
In a letter written a few months before his assassination in 2013, Martyr Shabazz stated "As I stand for the people, God-Willing, I would pray that the same people wouldn’t hesitate to stand for me. If these unjust & heinous actions are tolerated & allowed to be done to me without recourse, then no one is safe."

🇮🇷 | Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei:
Discussing the nuclear file is not on the table at this stage of the talks.
A clause regarding the cessation of aggression against Lebanon is included in the agreement.
Recent shifts in negotiations are the result of mediation efforts by Pakistan and other countries.
No one can confirm the imminent signing of an agreement with the United States because American policy is subject to change.
At this stage of the negotiations, Iran’s focus remains on stopping aggression against the country.
The United States is not concerned with the security and stability of the region’s countries, but rather prioritises the interests of the Zionist entity.
The Strait of Hormuz must remain secure, and its management belongs to the littoral states.
Iran remains in contact with the littoral states of the Strait of Hormuz to ensure security and protect their interests.

🇧🇭 | Scholars of Bahrain:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
“And those who have wronged shall soon know to what fate they will return.”
(Qur’an, Ash-Shu‘ara 26:227)
Today, the word of truth in Bahrain is shackled in chains, as forty-one distinguished scholars, among the most noble and faithful custodians of the message, remain behind bars. These are men who devoted their lives to nourishing believing souls from the springs of knowledge and guidance.
At its core, this imprisonment is nothing but a blatant testimony to the bankruptcy of the authorities and their inability to confront proof with proof or argument with argument. Before the edifice of reason and faith, they found no option except chains and prison cells after the logic of truth stripped the weapon from their hands.
Yet this unjust imprisonment, regardless of how severe it becomes, will only deepen Islamic awareness within the hearts of this conscious society and further ignite recognition of Islam’s lofty status and elevated rank, while exposing the fear and anxiety that overwhelm its adversaries before the power of truth.
In the enduring history of the Islamic Ummah are lessons that time cannot erase. They proclaim that whenever scholars are imprisoned, the reach of their influence only expands; whenever their hands are chained, hearts are liberated from fear, and determination matures through the fire and trials of hardship.
No amount of repression or intimidation gathered by the regime will avail it anything. The Ummah shaped by Islam and nurtured under the gaze of Allah has absorbed from Karbala an unshakable certainty: that truth does not die when its bearers are silenced or disappeared, and that however far the oppressor’s hand extends over bodies, it can never conquer consciences nor break wills.
What is increasingly revealed of deep-rooted hatred, concealed resentment, and burning hostility in the eyes of those in power toward the religious scholars who defend Islam and the school of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), despite the gravity and danger of this reality, is in truth an exposure of something even deeper within them: a fundamental hostility toward Islam and its pure teachings, and a buried resentment toward its principled commitment to justice and its perpetual confrontation with tyranny and oppressors.
These noble scholars know with certainty that their imprisonment will itself become a pulpit through which their voice will rise and their influence will reach places no written statement or prepared sermon could ever attain. How many great figures of thought and reform have the prisons of oppression produced that the platforms of freedom could not?
The political regime in Bahrain, burdened by its accumulating errors and successive acts of recklessness, is moving rapidly toward the dark fate it is weaving for itself with its own hands.

🇮🇷: 🇮🇷 | Reports indicate that Iranian government institutions and affiliated centres are operating at a high level of preparedness for the funeral procession of Imam Ali Khamenei (r). Extensive crowd-control arrangements and specialised equipment are reportedly being organised to prevent stampedes and manage the expected turnout.
Some reports and commentary have speculated that the funeral procession could draw tens of millions of mourners, potentially making it one of the largest public gatherings in Iran’s history if such estimates materialise. Iranian and foreign media have also reported delays and large-scale logistical preparations surrounding the funeral arrangements.

🇮🇷 | Researchers at the University of Tehran, in a recent archaeological excavation, have reportedly succeeded in identifying an image that, based on historical and archaeological documents, is believed to depict Yazdegerd III, the last Sasanian king. There are also legends and some non-primary sources suggesting that his daughter was married to Imam Husayn (A) and was the mother of Imam Sajjad (A), the fourth Imam of Islam. Without entering into debates about chains of transmission or historical accuracy, it is generally accepted in many traditions that she is identified as Shahrbanu or Sulafa, described as a daughter of a member of the family of Yazdegerd III.
