The son of martyr Musawi says:

“On the morning of February 28th, as you may know, around 9:00 AM, when it became certain that he had to go to the meeting, he said, ‘Give me five or six minutes.’ He went and groomed his beard, meaning he made himself presentable. Then he came back and wrote a small note:

“This world is not worth much, because even if you gain all of it, you have gained nothing. And that is also the beauty of this world, because even if you lose all of it, you have lost nothing.”

He wrote it in pencil, so it was obvious that he was in a hurry and preparing to leave.

He took off his military tag, placed it next to the note, and left. Yes, exactly, this is his military tag. Then he departed, and that incident happened. They struck near the Imam's residence (Beit-e Rahbari).

For about 30 days, nearly a full month, the search and recovery teams who were there, and we as well, searched for his body. I myself would also go there sometimes. We spent nearly a month searching for him.

[Currently, we still do not know the full details surrounding how the sacred body of Imam Khamenei was recovered. However, from available accounts, it appears there was a crater at the site and that bodies were shattered into pieces, as General Mousavi was reportedly sitting next to the Leader during the meeting. Previously, Rahmani Fazli served as the President’s representative for China affairs, and the late Dr. Ali Larijani also served as the Supreme Leader’s special representative for China affairs.
