🇦🇪 | Wester media reported that Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries opposed the UAE’s request for a joint attack on Iran.

According to the report, the UAE made an unsuccessful attempt to persuade the Saudis to coordinate a response to Iran’s attacks, but became frustrated after its request was rejected.

Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, was reportedly eager to cooperate with the Americans and Israelis against Iran, but Gulf leaders told him that “this is not their war.”

The report also states that Bin Zayed personally contacted Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, and other Arab leaders in an effort to encourage them to attack Iran, but none of them agreed.

Israeli media outlet i24NEWS also reported that, in addition to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reported visit to the UAE during the Iran war, Mossad chief David Barnea, Shin Bet director David Zini, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir also visited the UAE.

The UAE had previously publicly denied reports that Netanyahu visited the country during the conflict.

Turkish authorities reportedly arrested Iraqi citizen Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi during a transit stop at Istanbul Airport while he was traveling to Moscow. According to accounts, Al-Saadi had remained inside Turkey for nearly two days awaiting his connecting flight before Turkish security forces suddenly detained him inside the airport.

Reports claim that, days after his detention, Turkish authorities handed him over to the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). American accusations against Mohammad Baqer Al-Saadi reportedly describe him as a figure linked to Kataib Hezbollah and accuse him of involvement in planning attacks against Jewish and Western-linked targets in Europe and the United States. However, no publicly proven official organizational ties have been presented confirming a formal role within the Iraqi resistance factions.

Sources close to the case state that Al-Saadi maintained a notable online presence and frequently published photographs alongside prominent resistance figures including Hajj Qassim Soleimani, Hajj Ismail Qaani, and Iraqi resistance leaders. Reports also indicate that he had previously traveled through several European Union countries, was later detained in Milan, and subsequently expelled.

Accounts attributed to Iraqi sources claim that despite pressure and detention, Mohammad Baqir Al-Saadi remained steadfast throughout his captivity and did not show signs of collapse or surrender during interrogations and transfer procedures.

The arrest sparked anger among tribal circles in Iraq. Sheikh Mazhar Attaallah Hussein Alwan Al-Saadi, identified as a senior tribal leader of the Bani Saad tribe, issued a strongly worded statement condemning the arrest and transfer.

In his statement, he declared:

“We, the sheikhs of Bani Saad in Iraq, strongly condemn and denounce the disgraceful act of arresting one of our tribesmen in Turkey, and we consider it a blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty, its land, and its people.

In the name of religion, sect, and belonging, we demand swift measures to return our son Mohammad Baqir Al-Saadi to his homeland. We also call for legal action against those responsible for his arrest before the International Court of Justice.

Otherwise, demonstrations by members of the Bani Saad tribe across Iraq will begin in demand for the return of our son, and we will not retreat from this position until our demands are fulfilled.”

Additional reports circulating online also mention that Mohammad Baqir Al-Saadi managed to deliver a message to his family from captivity following his arrest and transfer by Turkish authorities to American custody.

🇮🇶: 🇹🇷: 🇺🇸 | Mohammed Baqir Al-Saadi was arrested by treacherous Turkish authorities and later handed over to US security forces.

According to the US Department of Justice, Al-Saadi was detained outside American territory, reportedly in Turkey after arriving from Russia, before being transferred to the United States. He later appeared before the Manhattan Federal Court in New York, where a judge ordered his temporary detention pending further proceedings.

American prosecutors charged him with 6 so called-terrorism-related offenses. The accusations include allegedly planning and directing around eighteen attacks and attempted attacks across Europe, Canada, and the United States.

The charges further allege that he targeted Jewish sites including synagogues in New York, California, and Arizona, and attempted to recruit an undercover FBI agent by providing operational plans and offering cryptocurrency payments in exchange for bombings and arson attacks.

US authorities also accused him of involvement in operations targeting American forces and interests, which prosecutors linked to regional conflicts connected to Iran and resistance movements in the region.

The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Ardabil announced the identification of a spy network allegedly linked to the Mossad and confirmed the arrest of its main member during what was described as a complex security operation. According to the statement, the detainee had reportedly been transmitting information regarding several sensitive locations and facilities to the enemy.

In a separate development, Iranian judicial authorities in Yazd province announced the seizure of the assets of 51 individuals accused of cooperating with hostile networks and acting against national security interests. According to official statements, the confiscated assets include bank funds, movable and immovable property, company shares, and proxy-owned assets. Authorities stated that the seized wealth will be directed toward public benefit projects and reconstruction efforts in war affected areas. Iranian officials added that 20 of the accused individuals are currently inside the country while 31 are abroad, and confirmed that investigations and legal proceedings against all those involved remain ongoing.
