The United States, in violation of the ceasefire, targeted an Iranian oil tanker moving from the coastal waters of Iran in the Jask region towards the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Fujairah.
Simultaneously, they launched airstrikes on civilian areas in cooperation with some regional countries in the coastal areas of Bandar Abbas, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.
The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately retaliated by attacking U.S. naval vessels in the east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar port, inflicting damage upon them.
Criminal and aggressive America and its supporting countries should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as in the past, will powerfully and without the slightest hesitation respond decisively to any aggression.

🇮🇷 | In the early hours of the escalation in the Persian Gulf region, an act of aggression was initiated by America against Iranian maritime assets. American naval forces unlawfully attempted to intercept and target an Iranian oil tanker operating in the Strait of Hormuz, in violation of international maritime norms and ongoing ceasefire understandings.
This hostile action triggered an immediate defensive response from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy. Iranian forces launched precision missile strikes and drone operations against American warships deployed in the Persian Gulf, forcing enemy vessels to retreat and reposition after sustaining damage.
Additional American naval assets operating near the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman were targeted in continued retaliatory operations. Reports from Iranian and allied media confirmed that three American destroyers were struck by missile and drone systems, resulting in their withdrawal from contested waters.
Simultaneously, Iranian coastal defence systems were activated in response to further hostile aerial activities. Explosions reported in Bandar Abbas, Minab, and Qeshm Island resulted from the interception of hostile drones and warning actions against unauthorised naval and aerial movements in the region. Air defence systems were also activated in western Tehran to counter small drone incursions.
Iranian authorities stated that America, in coordination with regional partners such as the UAE, expanded its aggression to coastal areas including Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and surrounding southern territories. Iranian armed forces responded with coordinated missile and drone strikes targeting American military units east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar, inflicting significant damage and forcing enemy withdrawal from operational zones.
In parallel, maritime enforcement operations were conducted against vessels attempting to enter or transit the Strait of Hormuz without authorization. Iranian media also reported increased air defence readiness across border regions and noted that, while military operations were ongoing, several cities in Hormozgan remained stable, with normal conditions in multiple urban centres.

🇮🇷 | Iranian sources reported that the warships that were being targeted by the IRGC Navy off the coast of the UAE were most likely the USS Truxtun and USS Mason, which had reportedly been observed in the area two days earlier through satellite imagery. According to these accounts, explosion reports emerging from the UAE were linked to American warships being struck approximately 52 kilometres off the coast.
Iranian officials declared that “from now on, the UAE will be treated like the Kurdistan region, and we will attack the UAE at any moment we see necessary,” signalling an expanded operational posture against American allies. In the same context, additional claims suggested a serious suspicion that UAE aircraft had removed identifying markings and carried out direct attacks on Iranian territory.
A Shahid Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis cruise missile was launched towards an American warship positioned off the coast of Abu Dhabi, connecting the naval engagements in the Strait of Hormuz with wider maritime activity extending toward UAE-adjacent waters and the broader confrontation across the Gulf region.

Without any prior judgment, it is necessary to briefly and clearly review the developments of the past two to three days.
First, Trump suddenly announced an attempt to forcibly open the Strait of Hormuz without Iran’s consent.
On the following day, U.S. military announced its intention to escort vessels through the strait under military protection in order to undermine Iran’s strategic will.
With the initiation of this approach, U.S. destroyers entered the operational phase. However, the majority of commercial vessels, aware of the nature of American posturing, refrained from movement and refused to place themselves in a vulnerable position. At the same time, one or two vessels, due to miscalculation, attempted passage and were subsequently damaged or destroyed.
In parallel, the United Arab Emirates claimed that Fujairah had been targeted through missile and drone attacks. The precise origin of these alleged strikes remained unclear, but the port area of Fujairah was reported to be on fire.
As these developments unfolded, the vessels that attempted violation were disabled, Fujairah was engulfed in fire, and the U.S. destroyers became operationally stalled within the passage corridor. The situation reached a point where the deployed forces themselves appeared uncertain regarding the purpose and outcome of their presence.
Following this, Trump swiftly announced the failure of the operation. Despite this declaration, maritime assets had already suffered losses, Fujairah remained in a state of damage, and the destroyers were left without operational achievement in the field.
Subsequently, the decision was taken to withdraw the deployed destroyers. However, during the return phase, reports indicated that they were exposed to pressure from Iranian naval forces, further complicating their withdrawal.
The outcome of the sequence of events can be described as follows. The destroyers were deployed, became operationally ineffective, and ultimately withdrew. The Strait of Hormuz remained under Iranian strategic control. Only limited maritime assets suffered destruction, and Fujairah, according to Emirati reports, experienced significant damage.
At the strategic level, Washington is attempting to isolate Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz from broader regional negotiations. It seeks to condition any opening of the strait on the lifting of the naval pressure measures it has imposed. Accordingly, all maritime actions taken by the United States must be understood within this broader framework of coercive leverage.
From Tehran’s perspective, however, there will be no compromise over established strategic gains. Iran is not prepared to dismantle its achieved positions or accept arrangements that would prolong the crisis under managed escalation, as Washington attempts to do in other regional files. This includes rejecting any attempt to treat the Strait of Hormuz as a separable bargaining chip outside the broader security equation.
It is confirmed now that the Americans and their allies did not have proper framework to implement control in the case of the Hormuz chokepoint. Their only actions were reckless attempts, which came back and hit them like a boomerang.
