Regarding Oman, given that Iran and Oman are both littoral states of the Strait of Hormuz, it is natural that they share responsibility for ensuring the safety of maritime navigation in this strategic waterway.

The discussions have focused on developing specific protocols and mechanisms to ensure the safe passage of ships.

The main objective of these consultations is to guarantee maritime security in a waterway that has recently faced disruptions due to what were described as unlawful actions by the United States.

During these meetings, both the legal dimensions of the issue were examined and views were exchanged on how to proceed, with an emphasis on bilateral coordination as well as consultation with relevant international bodies.
