• After the Geneva Agreement, when a portion of the frozen funds was actually released and oil sales had measurably increased, Imam Ali Khamenei said there was no reason to celebrate because nothing had truly changed on the ground.
• Pakistan was insignificant. China was the real orchestrator of the final 48 hours of political developments, operating behind the scenes and not communicating with Pakistan in the past few days.
• Pakistan has shown that it is not a neutral mediator. Firstly, a ceasefire means an unfinished war. Secondly, the proposal to open the Strait for two weeks implies that Iran is at fault and must demonstrate goodwill. Thirdly, the two-week period gives the enemy time to reorganize and refill its oil and gas reserves if they have weapons but lack oil and gas.
