The Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Isfahan Province announced that an advanced American MQ‑9 Reaper drone was intercepted and destroyed in the skies over Isfahan. Iranian air defence units said their systems engaged and brought down the unmanned aircraft using their advanced integrated defence network.

🇮🇷 | Around four hours ago, American occupation forces attempted to enter Iranian territory in an operation to rescue a missing F-15 pilot. The location of the pilot had been determined using GPS by the American forces, but access was difficult due to the challenging terrain and the presence of local Iranian forces.

U.S. fighter jets conducted bombings on the southern side of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces, likely targeting IRGC and Iranian troops involved in the search for the pilot. Tasnim News Agency confirmed the strikes, reporting that the United States was “attempting to kill its own pilot.”

Local sources reported that multiple U.S. helicopters entered Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, where they came under fire from local tribes using small arms. US Air Force Pararescue Jumpers (PJs) and HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters were deployed to recover the missing pilot. Heavy battles erupted as armed forces and villagers actively resisted the extraction attempt, resulting in casualties on both sides. Reports indicated that some American personnel were eliminated, while Iranian forces and local defenders achieved martyrdom defending their territory.

During the operation, the American F-15 pilot was initially rescued, but he remained in danger, with the extraction team reportedly injured and temporarily stuck in the area. American forces continued extensive bombing, including areas where villagers had barricaded themselves, in an effort to secure the pilot.

Due to the nature of wartime reporting, information may fluctuate and not be fully accurate, so this account should be considered provisional and subject to updates as events unfold. The battle is expected to remain ongoing, and further clashes are likely as both sides continue operations.
