The enemy renewed the attempt to advance on the afternoon of the same day. The resistance engineering fighters detonated a Shawaz explosive device on one of its tanks in the Al-Sidr area in Ainata at 15:00, and a mechanical trap on another tank in the same area at 16:00.

On Monday, 30/03/2026, the fighters engaged in three consecutive clashes with enemy forces inside the town of Ainata between 12:00 and 17:00 in the Ghadmatha and Al-Sidr areas, during which they targeted a Merkava tank with a guided missile.

At 19:45, the fighters targeted a command post of the enemy forces in the vicinity of Tallet Friz Ainata with a qualitative missile, achieving a direct hit. The artillery fighters also shelled enemy gatherings and positioning points throughout the confrontation and engagement period more than 15 times.

The Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon issued a detailed statement this Tuesday afternoon, explaining the heroic confrontation of its fighters with occupying forces along the axis of Aitouna and how they thwarted the enemy’s plan to infiltrate the strategic town of Bint Jbeil.

Enemy plan to encircle Bint Jbeil

The Islamic Resistance stated that the army of the Zionist regime, as part of its effort to gain control over the Bint Jbeil area, had in recent days begun assembling its forces for an attack from its main axis of advance, namely the Zionist settlement of al-Malkiya on the border.

According to the statement, on 28-03-2026 at 20:45, a unit consisting of 4 Merkava tanks, 2 bulldozers, and 1 armored personnel carrier advanced from the area of Khallat al-Taruq (south of Maroun al-Ras) toward Khallat al-Khanouq in the border town of Aitaroun.

Ambush against elite occupation brigades

At dawn on Sunday, 29 March 2026, a combined force from the 401st Brigade and the Givati Brigade attempted to advance from a secondary axis toward the town of Aitouna in order to reach Bint Jbeil from the northeast. This invading force included 25 armored vehicles, all of which were under continuous surveillance by resistance fighters.

When enemy forces reached the heights of Ghadmatha, resistance fighters detonated a powerful “Shuath” explosive device in the path of a Merkava tank and a mechanical explosive trap in the path of a D9 bulldozer. This strike forced the enemy to halt its advance and retreat toward adjacent areas, where they were again confronted by resistance fighters.

On Sunday afternoon, the occupying forces attempted another advance. At 15:00, a resistance engineering unit detonated a “Shuath” bomb beneath a tank in the al-Sadr area of Aitouna. At 16:00, another tank in the same area was struck by an explosive trap.

The following day, Monday, the battles reached their peak. Between 12:00 and 17:00, resistance fighters engaged in three direct and consecutive clashes with occupying forces in the areas of Ghadmatha and al-Sadr. During these clashes, a Merkava tank was hit and destroyed by a guided missile.

Targeting the command center with a special missile

The Operations Room stated that at 19:45 the same day, fighters used a “special and unique missile” to target the command position of the occupying forces near the hill of Friz Aitouna. The missile struck its target with high precision.

In conclusion, the statement noted that the artillery unit of the Islamic Resistance continuously supported the confrontation, launching more than 15 heavy bombardments against enemy gatherings and positions, causing confirmed losses to the enemy.
