With profound sorrow, I received the heartbreaking news of the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the Representative of the Leadership in that council, along with his distinguished son and some colleagues. He was a scholar, farsighted, intelligent, deeply committed, and possessed diverse experience across political, military, security, cultural, and managerial fields. Nearly five decades of active service in various layers of the Islamic system made him an exceptional figure.

Undoubtedly, the assassination of such a personality reflects his importance and the hatred of the enemies of Islam toward him. Let Islam’s adversaries know that shedding this blood only strengthens the tree of the Islamic system, and every drop of blood carries its due, which the criminal murderers of the martyrs will soon have to answer for. I sincerely offer my condolences to his honorable wife, all his children, and other relatives, especially to Ayatullah Amoli Larijani, and I pray to Allah Almighty for the highest ranks for those who have departed.

We extend our deepest condolences and congratulations to Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatullah Sayyid Mujtaba Husayni Khamenei (may Allah protect him), to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to its great, steadfast, and striving people on the martyrdom of the trustworthy guardian of the Islamic Revolution, its system, and its people—Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani. He ascended to Allah as a martyr while fasting and standing in prayer, after a long life of jihad and dedicated work, fulfilling his covenant with Allah in serving true Muhammadan Islam, advancing the blessed Quranic path, defending the Islamic Republic, its sovereignty, principles, and the causes of the Islamic Ummah. His martyrdom came as a result of a treacherous American-Zionist terrorist aggression targeting him, his son, and several of his companions.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, facing today the barbaric American-Zionist aggression and the conspiracies of the world, sacrifices greatly and continues to produce martyrs and high-ranking leaders in this sacred defense. Iran does not defend only itself and its people—something guaranteed by international law—but also the dignity, honor, and independence of the Islamic Ummah, the peoples of the region, and all free and honorable people in the world. It counters the deep distortions that plague the international system and safeguards what remains of justice and human values in a world where the United States and the Zionist entity have trampled laws, norms, and conventions. By its steadfastness and historical resistance, Iran foils all colonial, settler, and divisive schemes that the American-Zionist enemy pursues to subjugate the peoples of the region, seize their wealth, and impose absolute dominance over their present and future.

In Hezbollah, while condemning this cowardly assassination and the ongoing criminal American-Zionist aggression, we affirm that the killing of leaders will neither break the will of the Islamic Republic nor weaken the determination of its leadership, people, and fighters.
