We extend our sincerest condolences to our brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran—its leadership, government, and people—on the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Major General Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij Resistance Force, and their brothers who were martyred as a result of a Zionist attack on the Iranian capital, Tehran.

We knew Martyr Larijani and his fellow martyred leaders as devoted defenders of Palestine and its cause, and as strong supporters of our people and their resistance in all forums and by all means.

The criminal American-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic will only strengthen the determination of its people to uphold their heroic stance in defending their homeland, freedom, and independence against schemes of domination and exploitation, and in defending the rights of the Arab and Islamic nation, with the Palestinian cause at the forefront.

As we mourn this blessed martyrdom with our Palestinian people and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world, we extend our deepest condolences and solidarity to the Iranian people, its leadership, and the mujahideen, asking God to make this sacrifice a prelude to near victory.

🥀 | The martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, along with his son and comrades, has closed a chapter of a life defined by struggle; one that enemies tried to reduce to labels like “elite turned official,” questioning his background and even his family. Yet they ignored how the tyrant Shah had exiled his family to Iraq, and how that very family played a role in shaping the development of Iran’s governance and its strategic framework.

He rose to prominence within the Islamic Republic after joining the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in 1981. He later served as Speaker of the Parliament of Iran from 2008 to 2020 and became a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, having previously served there from 1997 to 2008. Shaheed Larijani was a graduate of the Qom seminary, held a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Aryamehr University of Technology, and earned both a Master’s degree and PhD in Western philosophy from the University of Tehran. Initially pursuing computer science, he shifted to philosophy after consultation with Ayatollah Shaheed Morteza Motahhari (r); a sage of the Shia world and a distinguished figure in philosophy. He authored works on thinkers like Immanuel Kant, Saul Kripke, and David Lewis, and served as a faculty member at the University of Tehran.

He was a man of precision—professional, yet silent in his work. What defined him most was not titles, but responsibility. As Secretary of the National Security Council and as an advisor to Imam Ali Khamenei, he undertook some of the most critical missions under the shadow of war and threat: his journey to Lebanon, Rusia, UAE, his strategic meeting with Bashar al-Assad carrying the message of Imam Khamenei, and his historic visit to Iraq. These were not ordinary assignments, but defining moments in the region’s resistance framework.

Who can truly encompass such a life? There is far more that remains unknown, far more that time itself will take to reveal. Personalities like his are not easily analyzed—they represent entire institutions within a single individual. Today, what remains is mourning for a loss that words cannot fully contain.
