The Kuwaitis used to say that their bases were not being used against Iran. So, what were these three fighters doing that were targeted today on Kuwaiti soil?

We do not consider this a regional war, but rather a war between us and the United States, whose effects have extended across the region.

We entered into negotiations with the United States to demonstrate our righteousness to the world, and to show our people that the Islamic Republic was not responsible for causing the war by refusing to negotiate.

The presence of American soldiers in hotels will not be a reason for them to avoid being targeted. Our concern is not with neighboring countries, but with the American soldiers stationed within them.

We were not deceived; our armed forces were not idle while negotiations were underway—they were fully carrying out their duties, and I was doing my part as well.

During meetings of the Supreme National Security Council, the nature of the negotiations, their stages, and all related points were thoroughly discussed.

Through this process, we proved to the world that we were committed to negotiation, while the other party sought to impose its will by force.

The war for us and for our people carries greater legitimacy and righteousness, and without these negotiations, that legitimacy would not have existed.

We did not lose from these negotiations, which were conducted with precise planning and calculation; rather, we demonstrated to the world that we were the ones genuinely seeking dialogue.
