The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a statement, while congratulating and condoling the honorable martyrdom of Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that the luminous path of this esteemed martyr will continue with strength, intelligence, and strategic initiative, and that the enemies of the Iranian nation should expect the definite consequences of their aggressive and criminal actions.

This high-ranking commander and sincere mujahid devoted his honorable life to enhancing the country’s defense capabilities, strengthening strategic deterrence, increasing coordination among the armed forces, and consolidating sustainable regional security. With a wise, forward-looking approach based on the doctrine of active resistance, he played a prominent role in safeguarding national interests and the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Although his martyrdom is a heavy loss for the large family of the armed forces and the noble people of Iran, it will undoubtedly continue the path of dignity, independence, and the country’s defense progress. Historical experience has shown that the assassination of influential figures not only fails to halt the strategic movement of the Iranian nation, but also strengthens national cohesion, revolutionary determination, and the will of the armed forces to achieve the lofty goals of the Islamic Revolution.

He prayed for the Leader to be gathered with the Master of this month, Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him), and for the bereaved family to be granted beautiful patience and great reward.
