To the faithful and courageous nation of Iran:

With hearts filled with grief and at the same time full of faith and unwavering resolve to confront the enemies of Islamic Iran, the Organization of Basij Mostazafan offers its condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Leader of the Ummah, the devout scholar, tireless struggler, and rightful deputy of Hazrat Wali al-Asr (may Allah hasten his reappearance), Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, to Imam al-Mahdi, the esteemed Maraji’, the great Islamic Ummah, and the noble Iranian nation.

God Almighty called the soul of this great Sayyid to Himself in the city of Allah, along with some of his family members, fasting, and in honor of martyrdom like his exemplar, Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him). A being who devoted his entire life to the protection of Islam, the Quran, Wilayah, and human dignity, and who, with patience, wisdom, and courage, inspired the oppressed world toward hope and honor.

Our martyred and free leader, in his final speech, referring to the phrase “No one like me will pledge allegiance to someone like Yazid” of Hazrat Sayyed al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), said: “No one like me will pledge allegiance to someone like Yazid, and a nation like ours will not pledge allegiance to corrupt leaders who currently govern America.”

Imam Khamenei was the bravest leader in the world, a leader of faith and rationality, and a standard-bearer of divine governance; a man of certainty who stood against global tyranny and awakened the path of truth from silence. His name will shine eternally alongside Khomeini the Great, like two guiding stars in the sky of history.

Undoubtedly, this brutal crime is a stain on the foreheads of the wicked governments of America and the Zionist regime. The pure blood of this martyred Imam will shake the foundations of global oppression and arrogance. The hand of revenge of the Islamic Ummah and the Iranian nation, with power and faith, will bring the killers of this great leader to justice for their disgraceful deeds.

The path of our martyred Imam will never stop. The Basij of this land, alongside the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and all faithful and loyal forces, with unwavering resolve and strong faith, will preserve his precious legacy and keep the banner of resistance and justice raised in the world.

The saddening martyrdom of the long-time companion of the Imam, the wise and discerning leader of the Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may his noble soul be sanctified), is a loss for the entire Islamic world, and especially for the noble people of Iran, that cannot be remedied except through divine grace and kindness.

His prudent leadership of the ship of the Revolution during difficult and turbulent conditions over many long years demonstrated his courage, resistance, and insight to the world, and for this reason he became the target of the deep hostility of the sworn enemies of Islam and Muslims.

Martyrdom is the reward of sincere struggle and a great victory. Today his exalted soul has honorably reached its aspiration and joined the highest heavenly realm, to rest in the special mercy of Almighty God.

Preserving the independence of Iran and the Islamic Republic is the straight path that our Imam outlined, and he continued it with strength. Today it is necessary for the officials of the Islamic Republic to move forward on this path with firmness and wisdom.

With a sorrowful heart and tearful eyes, I offer my sincere condolences to the sacred presence of Hazrat Wali al-Asr (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to his esteemed family, to the great nation of Iran, the Islamic Ummah, and the freedom-loving people of the world. I ask Almighty God to elevate the rank of this blessed martyr, grant him companionship with the friends of God, and grant the people of Iran patience, endurance, and steadfastness.
