This follows a cowardly and treacherous US-Zionist aggression targeting the Iranian capital Tehran, in a blatant attack on the sovereignty of an independent state and a gross violation of all international norms and laws, threatening regional and global peace and security.

Hamas mourns Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, recalling his life and leadership dedicated to supporting the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their courageous resistance—a path that extended for nearly four decades. The late martyr provided all forms of political, diplomatic, popular, and military support to the Palestinian people and resistance, despite pressure, blockade, and conspiracies against the Islamic Republic due to its honorable positions in support of Palestine, Gaza, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This includes support during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle and continued commitment to the resistant path regardless of sacrifices.

• The US administration and the fascist occupation government bear full responsibility for this blatant aggression and heinous crime against the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as for its dangerous consequences for regional security and stability. These acts further escalate crises and conflicts that serve only the Zionist agendas of expansion, domination, and control at the expense of our lands, rights, and the interests of our peoples. This places the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the international community, under political, legal, and historical obligation to act decisively against these crimes and prevent their continuation in the region.

• Hamas reaffirms its solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of this heinous US-Zionist aggression against its land, people, and institutions. We pray for mercy on the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending their land, rights, and sovereignty. We affirm that the terrorism of Netanyahu’s war criminal government, responsible for two years of mass killings and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, with ongoing attacks against Arab and Islamic countries under US support, will fail to realize their colonial and occupation projects in Palestine and the region.

• All these pure souls who fell in the path of liberating Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and the righteous blood shed across Palestine and the Arab-Islamic world defending the cause of our Ummah and the future of the region, will be a curse on the killers, thwart their plans, and hasten their downfall. These crimes will only strengthen our people and the living forces of our Ummah, increasing determination to uphold rights, sovereignty, and defend the land and holy sites, with Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa at the heart.

• The banner of defending Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa, supporting our people, their legitimate rights, and their resistance, is an honor for all free people of our Ummah. It will never fall or fade with the martyrdom of its leaders. It has always been a symbol of authenticity, honor, brotherhood, solidarity, and support. It will remain a proud banner, a legacy upheld by all free people of our Ummah and the world until Palestine is liberated and the occupation ends.

We feel the pain of this loss, but it is sufficient that Sayyid Ali Khamenei departed steadfast in the front lines, never abandoning his post, resisting until the last moment of his life, which was full of devotion and sacrifice.

The martyrdom of His Eminence Sayyid Ali Khamenei represents a great loss, but it will not weaken the Resistance, its axis, or its fighting environment. Their resolve will not diminish; rather, the ranks of the resistors will grow stronger on his blessed path. Their determination to confront the forces of aggression, tyranny, and American-Zionist arrogance will intensify, and his pure blood will serve as new fuel for the fire of resistance, which will continue until the Zionist criminals are eliminated and the head of the American devil is defeated.

We mourn the martyred Imam Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and his fellow martyred leaders.

Today, the honorable Sayyid Imam Ali Khamenei falls as a martyr in one of the clearest battles of the Ummah in its banner and objectives against the coming Zionist-American project aimed at subjugating and humiliating us, which seeks to turn our nation into slaves for its arrogant agenda. While submissive countries sought the protection of the American devil, the martyred Sayyid always stood on the front lines with his voice and resolve, shouting in the darkness of the Arab and Islamic night: “Death to the Great Satan,” affirming that America is not a fate before which we will ever bow.

The martyred Imam lived courageously and with dignity in his positions and insistence on the right of the Ummah to possess power, weapons, and technology, enabling it to stand strong against the flood of evil led by the devils of this era, criminals Trump and Netanyahu. We also remember his firm stance on Palestine, supporting its resistance, supplying it with weapons, and accompanying all the battles and campaigns undertaken by our valiant Palestinian resistance. We have lost a man who restored to Islam its backbone—jihad and martyrdom—and the ability to influence and confront the tyrants of the era.

The martyred Imam, leader of the blessed Islamic Revolution, passed away during the month of the Qur’an and jihad, the blessed month of Ramadan, raising the banner: “If the religion of Muhammad cannot be established except by my killing, then O swords, take me,” joining the radiant caravan of martyrs following in the footsteps of the Prophets, the truthful, the great Imams, and the martyred leaders in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and Iran, after fulfilling his trust and duty with righteous words, firm stances, speaking truth, and sincere unity in the face of the overwhelming forces of falsehood in the centrality and urgent priority of the Palestinian cause as the spearhead against the Western project targeting our Ummah.

The assassination of leaders is a barren approach whose failure has been proven by reality; it does not stop the free from continuing their resistance against aggression. The arrogant attempt to divert the path and drag the Ummah into the Zionist-American timeline is futile. Iran today is stronger and more resilient after the assassination of its leaders in the past and now, as are the Palestinian, Lebanese, Yemeni, and Iraqi resistance movements, which continue their journey in opposing the faces of the aggressors despite the harshness of the period. Therefore, we affirm the right of the Islamic Republic to respond to this heinous crime in proportion to its magnitude.

Let the oppressive America and the entire West know that illusions of power and arrogance do not shape the truths of history, nor do they take away the positions of the free. Their attempt to settle the Palestinian issue in favor of the Zionist occupier will not bring security or peace; it will instead intensify the confrontation until the balance of justice is restored and rights are returned to their owners, no matter the cost.
