Martyr Al-Tabatabai was martyred along with four other resistance fighters in the Israeli attack on November 23, 2025 in the Harik neighborhood of the southern suburb of Beirut. Sayyid Haitham Ali Al-Tabatabai, commander and head of Hezbollah’s staff in Lebanon, was among those martyred.
An officer in the Islamic Resistance of Lebanon previously stated that following the assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Abu Ali (Martyr Al-Tabatabai) received a secret message from Martyr Sayyid Hashim Safi al-Din, the new Secretary-General of Hezbollah, assigning him the responsibility of commanding resistance operations in the recent battle.
