🇹🇷 | Erdoğan has postponed his planned visit to the United Arab Emirates, originally scheduled for February 16, citing a health issue affecting UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. Erdoğan’s team said the Turkish leader spoke with Al Nahyan by phone and wished him a “prompt recovery,” but later deleted the post message on social media. Erdoğan is expected to visit Ethiopia on February 17.

Turkiye dispatched its deep-water drilling ship Cagri Bey to Somalia on Sunday, marking Ankara’s first offshore exploration venture beyond its own maritime boundaries.

Calling the deployment a "historic moment" for Turkiye’s oil and gas ambitions, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said drilling operations are scheduled to start in April at the Curad-1 well located offshore Somalia.

"For the first time, our deep-sea drilling ship is setting out on a mission beyond (our maritime zone)," Bayraktar said.

He noted that Cagri Bey, a recent addition to Turkiye’s drilling fleet, is expected to arrive off the Somali coast in roughly 45 days and will be accompanied by three Turkish naval vessels.

Bayraktar added that Ankara is targeting daily production of 500,000 barrels of oil or equivalent hydrocarbons by 2028, with plans to double that output through new discoveries and overseas production-sharing agreements.

🇵🇸 | GAZA-fication of the West Bank unfolding: (1/3):

What is unfolding in the West Bank increasingly resembles a structured and expanding escalation rather than isolated security operations, and many observers are now describing it as the beginning of “Gaza-fication” — the transfer of Gaza-style military doctrine and pressure tactics into the West Bank. Parallel to the destruction in Gaza, the West Bank has not been spared, though it has remained comparatively under-addressed internationally. Raids, arrests, demolitions, land seizures, and military incursions have been ongoing for months, but the recent developments signal intensification at multiple levels: legal, military, and settlement expansion.

A major political development came as Israel approved a proposal to reopen land registration procedures in the occupied West Bank for the first time since 1967. According to Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation Kan, the government approved a proposal submitted by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, and Defense Minister Israel Katz to allow large areas to be registered as “state land” in the name of the state. The decision grants expanded authority to the Justice Ministry’s Land Settlement Authority, alongside increased budgets and personnel, to review ownership claims and conduct registration processes. Israeli officials present this as resolving land disputes and responding to what they describe as illegal Palestinian Authority land registration in Area C. Critics argue it formalizes annexation mechanisms and accelerates territorial consolidation under state control.

On the ground, within just the past 48 hours, operations have spread across numerous cities, towns, refugee camps, and neighborhoods. Occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus multiple times, bringing new military reinforcements through the Tour and Beit Furik checkpoints. They stormed the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, the town of Asira ash-Shamaliya east of Nablus, and the village of Kafr Qalil southeast of Nablus. Forces launched raids and arrests in Kafr Aqab north of occupied Jerusalem and deployed sound bombs during ongoing operations there. Homes were raided in the Jisr al-Titi area of Nablus. Arrests included young man Islam Amer from Street 10 in Nablus; freed prisoner Hamdi Dweikat from Balata al-Balad east of Nablus; Hajj Khaled al-Sous and his son Anas from the al-Ma’ajin neighborhood; An-Najah University student Asid al-Nan’a from the Northern Mountain area; citizen Salam Mansour, mother of prisoner Hamza, during raids in Nablus; freed prisoner Omar Shakhshir from Amman Street east of Nablus; lawyer Amjad Jaber from the Northern Mountain area; young man Muath Zughan from Al-Arsad Street; citizen Nabiel Anter from Sufyan Street; Mohammed Hassan Al-Nasan from Al-Mahjar neighborhood in Nour Shams camp east of Tulkarem; and Hamza Khuwaira from Kurum Ashur neighborhood in Nablus. Reports indicate 3 young men were arrested in Krum Ashur neighborhood, 4 young men on Huash Street in Nablus, and at least 32 citizens were arrested during an ongoing raids campaign in different areas of Nablus alone.

Operations extended beyond Nablus. Forces stormed the town of Deir al-Ghusun north of Tulkarm more than once, Harat al-Mahjar in Nur Shams camp east of Tulkarm, the city of Qalqilya including Kufur Saba neighborhood and Nablus Street, and carried out house raids during these invasions. They stormed Ras al-Aroud area in Sa’ir town north of Hebron and arrested a young man there. Additional wide-scale arrest campaigns were reported at dawn across several provinces in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office. Meanwhile, demolition notices were distributed for 10 houses in the town of Taqou’ in Bethlehem governorate in the southern West Bank.

(2/3):

At the strategic level, Hebrew Channel 14 revealed features of what it described as a new and expanded Israeli military plan targeting the northern West Bank, characterized as transferring “the tools of war from Gaza to the West Bank.” The reported elements include intensive use of fighter jets and tanks inside residential neighborhoods and refugee camps, strict restrictions and collective punitive measures targeting what is described as the “popular incubator” to increase field pressure, and a shift from localized raids to a comprehensive war aimed at permanently dismantling the infrastructure of Palestinian factions. This signals a doctrinal transition from periodic incursions to broader sustained military pressure.

Simultaneously, settlement consolidation continues. Minister Orit Strook announced the distribution of security equipment to settlement farms in the Hebron Mountains area as part of strengthening settlement and protecting outposts. The equipment includes first-response fire trucks, drones, and communication devices. The number of settlement farms in the Hebron Mountains is reported as 30, collectively controlling around 100,000 dunams.

Taken together, these developments show a coordinated pattern: expansion of legal mechanisms to register land as state property; intensified and geographically widespread arrest campaigns; repeated urban incursions across Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem areas; demolition notices; reinforcement of settlement infrastructure; and reported preparation for a broader military doctrine shift involving heavier weaponry and collective restrictions. Whether framed as security enforcement or structural territorial transformation, the scale, simultaneity, and institutional backing of these actions indicate a significant and escalating shift in the West Bank’s operational and political landscape.

(3/3):

What makes this moment different is not just the number of raids or arrests, but the synchronization between legal restructuring, military escalation, and settlement fortification. Reopening land registration after decades is not a technical bureaucratic adjustment; it is a strategic move that can permanently alter land ownership realities on the ground. When large areas are reclassified as “state land,” it narrows Palestinian territorial continuity and expands the framework for settlement growth. At the same time, intensifying arrest campaigns targeting students, former prisoners, lawyers, and even family members signals an attempt to weaken social and political networks that sustain organized resistance. This is not random enforcement but pressure applied simultaneously at administrative, security, and community levels.

The reported shift toward a “comprehensive war” model in the northern West Bank, including potential deployment of fighter jets and tanks inside dense residential areas, suggests doctrinal transformation. Gaza has long been treated under a separate military paradigm; applying similar tools in the West Bank would fundamentally change the rules of engagement. The emphasis on collective restrictions and targeting what is described as the “popular incubator” indicates a strategy that views the civilian environment not as separate from armed factions but as part of the operational equation. If implemented, this approach would significantly raise the intensity of confrontation and increase the risk of widespread destabilization across multiple cities simultaneously.

At the same time, strengthening settlement farms with drones, fire trucks, and communication systems further embeds civilian-settler infrastructure within a militarized framework. Control over 100,000 dunams in the Hebron Mountains while urban centers face repeated incursions creates a dual-track reality: territorial consolidation on one side and fragmentation on the other. When viewed together, land registration expansion, demolition notices, widespread arrests, reinforcement deployments, and reported escalation planning point toward long-term structural transformation rather than short-term security containment. The question is no longer whether tensions will rise, but how far the current strategy intends to go and what the regional consequences will be if escalation continues.

🟨 | [16/02/2026] — Speech of H.E. Shaykh Naim Qassim (H) on the martyrdom anniversaries of Shaykh Raghib Harb (r), Sayyid Abbas al-Musawi (r), Hajj Imad Mughniyeh (r), with a ceremony at the Sayyid al-Shuhada Complex in the southern suburbs: (1/7):

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

Peace and blessings be upon the noblest of creation, our master, our beloved, and our leader, our Prophet Muhammad (S), and upon his pure and immaculate household (A), his chosen and righteous companions, and upon all prophets and the righteous until the Day of Judgment.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Today, we commemorate the three martyred leaders: Sheikh Ragheb, Sayyed Abbas, and Hajj Imad.

Through them, we commemorate all the martyred leaders who rose as martyrs along this path.

Allah the Almighty says in His Noble Book:

“But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove with their wealth and their lives. For them are the good things, and they are the successful.”

This is the path: that the believers stand with the Messenger of Allah (S) in striving with their wealth and their lives so that they may be among the successful.

But who are these believers?

“The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not, and strive with their wealth and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is they who are truthful.”

The believers are the truthful ones who fulfilled the promise and walked this path. And, Allah willing, we will continue the path laid down by these martyred leaders.

With Sheikh Raghib, we are with a noble and esteemed scholar rooted in the land, who worked in his village and in all the surrounding villages, and indeed reached all of Lebanon through his performance and confrontation with the Israeli enemy. He was martyred at the age of 32, yet in those years he presented a pioneering model of the martyred leader. He established the unifying Friday prayer in Jibshit in 1976 to affirm unity, cohesion, and connection with the people. He founded the Lady Zaynab (S) Orphanage in 1980 as an expression of social care for orphans and families.

When the blessed Islamic Revolution triumphed, he was deeply devoted to Imam Khomeini (r), publicly pledging allegiance in 1979 and always working to support and walk under the guidance of Imam Khomeini (r). He was arrested in late 1982 and again in March 1983 for 17 days; the people mobilized, forcing the occupation to release him.

He was the one who said: “A handshake is recognition,” expressing resistance through constant popular presence.

As for Sayyid Abbas (r), he was martyred at the age of 40. He was turbaned by Imam Musa al-Sadr (H) and studied advanced religious studies in Najaf under Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr (r). In Najaf, he established the nucleus of the al-Zahra (S) Seminary for women, and continued this work in Baalbek, showing his concern for women’s engagement as half of society.

He was a member of the nine-person committee that founded Hezbollah and traveled to Iran in 1982 to pledge allegiance to Imam Khomeini (r). On March 18, 1991, he was elected Secretary-General of Hezbollah.

Before and after assuming this role, he personally visited all jihad fronts across Lebanon. His life, his spirit, and his giving were resistance.

He embodied courageous and humble leadership that lived among the people.

(2/7):

As for Hajj Imad Mughniyeh (r), known as Hajj Radwan, he was martyred at the age of 46. His path was filled with dedication from the age of 15, when he joined the Palestinian resistance in 1975 and gained experience while working toward the liberation of Palestine.

With the launch of Hezbollah, he became one of the foundational pillars of its jihadist path. In 2000, he served as a jihad assistant to the Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (r).

He was a key architect of the two victories: the 2000 liberation and the 2006 confrontation during the July war.

He established the foundations of the resistance’s security and military structure in confronting the Israeli enemy, building a strong base whose effects continue and will continue into the future, Allah willing.

These three — Martyr Shaykh Raghib Harb (r), Sheikh of the Martyrs of the Resistance; Sayyid Abbas al-Musawi (r), Master of the Martyrs of the Resistance; and Hajj Imad Mughniyeh (r), leader of the two victories — were distinct in their qualities, yet shared common traits:

Clear commitment to their mission

Full devotion to Islam and religious principles

Translating values into practical life rather than leaving them as theory

Following the path of Imam Husayn (A)’s revolution as an inspiring and inexhaustible source

They followed Imam Khomeini’s (r) statement:

“Everything we have is from Ashura.”

They also embodied what Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (r) said:

“Whoever wins, wins; and whoever is martyred, wins.”

Through them, we commemorate all martyred leaders.

Our path is continuous and steady; we will continue it, Allah willing.

Leaders were martyred and others followed. No one replaces another, and no one equals another; each has unique qualities. Yet this is a path that requires leadership.

Praise be to Allah, thousands are capable of filling leadership positions whenever one leader is martyred. Therefore, we will continue, Allah willing.

To their souls, to the souls of all martyrs, to the souls of all supporters and loved ones, and to your deceased, we dedicate the reward of reciting Surah al-Fatiha along with prayers upon Muhammad (S) and his family (A).

First point: We renew our condolences on the anniversary of the assassination of President Martyr Rafic Hariri (r) to his honorable family, his political movement, his supporters and admirers, and to all Lebanese. Allah willing, we can rise together as a nation, benefiting from his experience and contributions.

Second point: We congratulate Muslims in Lebanon and around the world on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan; the month of worship that grants us energy and determination in our relationship with Allah; the month of behavioral change through improving habits and deeds; the month of repentance, where we abandon sins and turn toward virtues that please Allah.

May this blessed month be one of victory, success, strength, unity among Muslims, high morale, and the ability to move toward better conditions through faith.

Congratulations to all Muslims and all who cherish this blessed month; Ramadan, the month of piety and forgiveness.

(3/7):

I begin with the political situation, and I will divide the subject into several sections.

First:

Occupation, wherever it exists, necessitates resistance in order to expel the occupier.

In Lebanon, we were a resistance to confront this occupation. The responsibility of resistance is the responsibility of the state, the army, and the people. All are responsible for resisting the occupation in order to liberate the land.

Our resistance in Lebanon is longstanding, dating back to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and its repercussions on Lebanon at various stages. There were resisters from Palestinian and Lebanese forces, parties, figures, and sects.

The most recent phase, so to speak, before Hezbollah officially emerged, was under the presence and leadership of Imam Musa al-Sadr (r), may Allah return him and his companions safely, who led a genuine resistance in the south; he was the Imam of the resisters. There were also various forces from Islamic committees, the Amal Movement, and others resisting the Israeli occupation, until Hezbollah officially and organizationally emerged in 1982, inspired by the guidance of Imam Khomeini (r), an Islamic, mission-driven, religious, moral, and practical inspiration for the benefit of this nation so that we may be among those who liberate the land.

Resistance, in our understanding, is national, Arab, Islamic, and humanitarian. We cannot separate these components.

It is national because it defends the homeland for liberation.

Arab because it expresses solidarity with Arabs and neighbors in confronting the Israeli occupier.

Islamic because Islam calls for dignity and liberation and makes it the responsibility of Muslims worldwide.

Humanitarian because any sincere and ethical human being cannot accept occupation.

Therefore, we resist from all these standpoints.

Whatever the name, even if it is called “Islamic Resistance,” this does not mean it is not national, not Arab, and not humanitarian.

The Islamic Resistance, along with all honorable resisters from Amal and others, confronted the Israeli enemy and expelled it from Lebanon in a major victory in 2000.

Over 42 years, the work of the Islamic Resistance has produced accumulated achievements, alongside all resisters from various parties and forces who contributed to expelling Israel.

The Israel we face is an expansionist entity that seeks Palestine and the entire region without exception.

Its intentions are declared, and its behavior aligns with them. When the enemy halts due to an agreement or for any reason, it halts temporarily out of incapacity to consolidate what it has occupied in preparation for a new phase, then it moves beyond agreements when able.

Its agreements remain on paper and are not honored.

We have all the evidence, from Oslo to Madrid and other agreements, which served as stages for it to grow stronger before resuming occupation, because it is expansionist.

Do not underestimate what the occupation is doing in Gaza today. More than 60% of Gaza is directly occupied, and the remaining 40% is under daily aggression.

Nor should you underestimate the gradual, official annexation of the West Bank by the Israeli entity.

Here, the United States is a full partner, indeed, it manages the operations, annexation, occupation, killing, and destruction.

Practically speaking, if Trump wanted to prevent Israel from doing something, he could.

But he offers sweet words to Arabs and others to silence them while allowing Israel to continue its expansionist project.

It was Trump who recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, and Trump who recognized Israel’s annexation of the Golan.

Therefore, he bears full responsibility for what is happening in Palestine today.

(4/7):

As for Lebanon, did you not see those who came to plant trees in Yaroun under the direct watch of the Israeli army? Did you not hear of those who wanted to conduct archaeological surveys in Shamaa during Operation “First of Strength”? Did you not witness the kidnapping from the town of Habbariyeh, carried out by directly breaching all fortifications and so-called sovereignty lines in Lebanon? Was not the killing of the four youths between Masnaa and Jdeidet Yabous an act bearing the spirit of extermination? Was not the killing of the young man in Hanin, who was transporting students in a van, an act of human destruction?

The truth is that we face an enemy that seeks to destroy people, stones, life, and strength. What should we do with such an enemy? We must remain steadfast and we have remained steadfast because we are rooted in our faith and embrace martyrdom in our conduct. The fighters are great, and our people are great.

An agreement was reached in November 2024 between the Lebanese state and the Israeli entity indirectly: that the aggression would stop, Israel would withdraw, prisoners would be released, and reconstruction would begin. Lebanon implemented this agreement; Israel did not.

Here I want to highlight an important matter: an agreement marks a turning point; it overrides what came before it; it is a new phase. Those who keep saying, “You carried out support operations?” that phase is over; the agreement ended the previous stage. Speak to us from now onward. What is happening now? Israel is attacking, and since the agreement was concluded by the Lebanese state, it bears full responsibility. The state’s responsibility is to confront this aggression, achieve sovereignty, and establish the necessary programs and plans.

However, what this Lebanese government is doing, focusing on disarmament, is a grave mistake because this serves the goals of Israeli aggression. The government should instead achieve the goals of liberation, national unity, and internal cooperation.

Second: Today I will address three problematic claims they raise regarding confronting the Israeli enemy.

The first issue: They say, “The world will not help us unless we surrender and disarm.” I say clearly: we do not want the world’s help. We are capable of rebuilding our country according to our means, and we will find states that have mutual interests with us as the Lebanese state and reach agreements with them.

What kind of help turns our country into easy prey for Israel? What kind of help imposes foreign guardianship over us for the interests of major powers and Israel? What is this help they want to give us? It is conditional aid. They said: “We want to arm the Lebanese army so it can eliminate the resistance, not fight Israel.”

Do we want to arm the Lebanese army to carry out hostile actions against the resistance? Is that our objective? We want to arm the Lebanese army to maintain security, combat drugs, confront theft, ensure people feel safe in their homes, and achieve sovereignty in confronting the Israeli enemy. That is what we want not what they offer for their own objectives.

Therefore, if they say they will not give us aid, then let them not give it. If they wish to give only for their own purposes, we do not want such aid. We want assistance that ensures Lebanon remains sovereign, independent, free of guardianship, and possessing its own internal decision-making power. Otherwise, Lebanon would be on a path to disappearance in the way some envision.
