This is a dumb personal argument used to detract from the reality that the considered alternative to US imperialism did nothing concrete to end the genocide in Gaza, couldn't even raise an economic boycott of a genocidal squatter cult, in fact it contributes to keeping Israel afloat, as does Russia. I have no issue with China being China. What I have an issue with is people projecting their own ideological identity onto a country that will never meet such lofty expectations. China will talk the good talk, but, ultimately, China will let Cuba be blockaded, energy-starved and ground down by US Imperialism and Zionist expansionism. If you can't handle opposing views from someone who actually lives in a region that is being systematically destroyed with zero prevention measures being imposed or enforced by the nations who claim to uphold international law blah blah, without making it personal, I have to ask what hope is there for any "revolution" you claim to lead? Come here and ask people if they feel any solidarity from China while their children are ground to dust every day by Zionist drone strikes. It's depressing that your priority is to defend the powerful not doing enough rather than demand that those with power use it to defend the weakest and most deeply exploited and betrayed in the world today.

🇮🇷: 🇳🇬 | Islamic Awakening in Nigeria: The Movement of Sayyid Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H):

With the wave of the Islamic Revolution of Iran–1979, one of the most prominent movements to emerge in Africa was the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) under the leadership of Sayyid Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky. Sayyid Zakzaky, who had been active in student Islamic activism since the 1970s at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, was deeply influenced by the success of Imam Khomeini’s revolution in Iran and sought to promote similar ideals of Islamic governance, social justice, and resistance to oppression within Nigeria.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria gradually developed into a mass grassroots organization, establishing schools, seminaries, health initiatives, and social welfare networks across northern Nigeria. The movement emphasized education, moral discipline, peaceful processions, and religious awareness, particularly among marginalized communities. Over the decades, it became one of the largest Islamic movements in sub-Saharan Africa.

The focus was not to copy Iran but on awakening people against foreign interference and the destruction of the Nigerian nation, and to expose the enemy’s influence exploiting various weaknesses in society. Nigerians themselves have called for unity and resistance against Western interference to protect their sovereignty and national dignity.

However, the movement faced repeated confrontations with Mossad-CIA backed-Nigerian authorities. Tensions escalated over the years, culminating in the December 2015 Zaria incident, when clashes between IMN members and the Nigerian Army led to a large-scale military crackdown. More than one thousand of IMN members were killed during the operation. Shaykh Zakzaky and his wife were arrested in December 2015 and remained in detention for several years despite court rulings calling for their release. They were eventually acquitted and released in July 2021.

Despite repression, arrests, and bans on activities in certain regions, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has continued to organize religious gatherings, Ashura commemorations, and social programs. The movement remains active, sustained by its followers and shaped by the legacy of those who were killed during periods of unrest.

The Islamic awakening movement in Nigeria stands as one of the most visible examples of the transnational influence of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, adapting its themes of resistance, social justice, and religious revival to the Nigeria.
