Muhammad Dweish, head of the leadership council of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and a delegation from the movement’s leadership met with Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary General of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, on Wednesday in Doha, Qatar, to discuss Gaza and regional developments.

During the meeting, Muhammad Dweish reviewed the overall field and humanitarian situation in Gaza, highlighting the occupation’s continued crimes against the Palestinian people and its evasion of the ceasefire agreement. He emphasized Hamas’ commitment to implementing the agreement and avoiding a return to war.

He confirmed that the Palestinian resistance continues to stand firm, fulfilling its national and moral responsibilities, defending its people, stopping aggression, lifting the siege, ensuring humanitarian aid flows, and treating the wounds of Gaza’s steadfast population.

The meeting also addressed escalating policies in occupied Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank, including recent Knesset decisions aimed at annexing West Bank lands; a dangerous step affecting the national rights of the Palestinian people.

Muhammad Dweish reaffirmed Hamas’ solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, rejecting any aggression against its territories and noting that attacks on Iran or other countries would undermine regional security and stability.

For his part, Dr. Larijani briefed Hamas leaders on the latest developments in Iran and ongoing negotiations with the United States. He emphasized Iran’s fixed support for the Palestinian cause, praised Palestinian sacrifices and steadfastness, and confirmed Iran’s continued support for their struggle across various arenas.

He added that the Palestinian people have shown honorable examples of steadfastness and generosity, reflecting their determination in the face of challenges.

The meeting was attended by Khaled Meshal, Nizar Awwadallah, Hussam Badran, Sami Khater, and Basim Naeem.

✅ | The core and covert talks related between Trump and Netanyahu represent another kind of oppression against Iran. The use of military and diplomacy at the same time seems like an attempt to pressure Iran to accept something, 20 bombs here, then another 20 bombs there. This is what they are discussing and coordinating with their officials.

Iran, in return, first and foremost as part of its Islamic duties, is performing a sensible role in the current scenario. It does not want the talks to be sabotaged and will not be changed under pressure or involvement of Israeli infiltration, neither in Muscat nor in Doha. Iran wants bold and genuine guarantors and partners to carry out the talks in the coming weeks if America truly wants to pursue negotiations.

Iran knows that a major outbreak of this war would directly affect Oman and Qatar, and that is not what Iran wants. For Iran, the stability of all its neighboring countries is a priority, as any fall will also bring threats near its borders. Their stability is needed on both material and moral grounds.

Gulf states are somehow recognizing the real threat posed by Trump’s recklessness, and any trigger against Iran would impact their stability and directly affect their economies. That is why they prefer to engage with the Iranian chair, Dr. Ali Larijani, who is not only the Secretary of the Security Council but also a close associate and advisor to Imam Khamenei directly.

Overall, if the American and Israeli “hammer per signature” approach is implemented, it is all they want to carry out the major issue, which they are not discussing in any of its corners. They do not calculate what would happen in retaliation. Somehow, it feels that it is not Iran but America that is stuck here.

The Jewish pressure over America wants Trump to bomb Iran, but American planners calculate that the cost is not only heavier, it may trigger a major domino effect. If it happens, the response from Iran, which has set strict limits, will turn any pre-fabricated or limited aggression into a war-like response, which has somehow trapped America and Israel. Because they are securing one-sided scenarios based on what they could do, they are failing to understand that the retaliation will not be less than the impact of a nuclear response.

Anyways, half or more of the ongoing issues are unknown to the public and even to secondary level-officials. Even if it go wrong in the future, it can be speculated: what if America accepts Iran returning to the 2015 commitments on nuclear files in exchange for relief from economic sanctions, which is somehow connected to Dr. Larijani’s talks with the Sultan of Oman and the Emir of Qatar? For opening trade zone etc.?Maybe yes, maybe no. Time will tell.

Anyway, trusting Americans and Israelis is a major sign of mental weakness and genetic mutation, which is why if they want to talk under a “signature under hammer” approach, then you also have to keep a trigger ready while dealing with them.
