❎ | We hope the UMAA conference they are planning to organize in the shrine, that will take into account that Sayyidah Zaynab’s (S) battle against injustice necessarily includes directly addressing US backed-HTS atrocities, the Israeli invasion, and Israeli genocide. It also includes the massacre of more than ten to fifteen thousand coastal Syrians and thousands of Alawites and other minorities by HTS terrorists. UMAA-affiliated groups are attempting to gain control over these shrines through coordinated media campaigns, while promoting and amplifying notorious Pakistani Shia influencers as part of this effort. These figures are being deliberately used as campaign tools. Their videos often revolve around emotional appeals, gathering small circles of Shia audiences and urging financial collections in the name of shrine protection. However, there is little to no transparency regarding where this money goes or who ultimately controls these efforts.

At the same time, these campaigners abruptly denounce everything that does not align with their narrative, while simultaneously claiming to accept any initiative aimed at securing the shrines. In reality, the issue is not the protection of shrines itself, but who controls that protection and for what purpose. Any genuine effort to safeguard sacred sites must be carried out through clear coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and recognized resistance leadership, not through unaccountable actors or individuals serving foreign intelligence interests.

We will continue to resist these manufactured narratives and expose attempts to hijack sacred causes for political manipulation. The protection of shrines is a red line, and it cannot be entrusted to media-driven campaigns, opportunists, or CIA-aligned sellouts operating under religious slogans.

The “Tower 22” operation in Jordan:

On January 28, 2024, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched an aerial drone attack on the remote logistical base of Al-Rukban (Tower 22) in northeastern Jordan. A drone struck the living quarters at the site, resulting in the killing of three soldiers and the injury of 34 others with varying degrees of injury, according to a Pentagon statement.

The killed soldiers were Sergeant William Jerome Rivers, 46, from New Jersey; Corporal Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, from Georgia; and Corporal Breonna Alexandria Moffitt, 23, from Georgia.

The attack on the base coincided with other operations targeting the Al-Shaddadi base and the Al-Tanf base in Syria, and the US occupation attributed responsibility for the operation to the Hezbollah Brigades.

Following the assassination of the prominent jihadist leader of the Hezbollah Brigades, Martyr Abu Baqr Al-Saadi, American newspapers and magazines, including Reuters, published reports indicating his responsibility for the operation.
