| There is a lot about Iran in the media that is not true on the ground, and much of the coverage does not reflect the actual realities within the country and ongoing issues.

🇮🇷 | Advisor to Imam Khamenei; Dr. Ali Shamkhani to Al-Mayadeen:

One of the conditions for negotiations is that they be limited strictly to the nuclear issue, and until the other side announces that the main topic is nuclear, nothing else is acceptable.

What is being said about moving from a limited war to a wider one across Iran’s geography stems from two reasons, the first being the enemy’s military deployment. This deployment extends to the farthest points in the region surrounding us, from which threats originate.

If we were to limit our deterrence and response only to our own geography, this would not be militarily possible. Many countries have announced that they will not allow their territories to be used to launch attacks against us, and we have seen this during the war.

We possess data on the areas from which threats originating from “Israel” and America have emerged, and these are not two separate elements. If America strikes, “Israel” will be involved, and we must respond proportionally.

Our response to “Israel” is inevitable and depends on their actions and steps we confront and respond in kind. The American and Israeli armies rely primarily on air power.

Our approach will change, as will our organization and capabilities, all of which are local, with no limitation on production volume. Any aggression, no matter how small, will turn into a very large crisis far greater than what others imagine.

His Eminence the Leader is a brave man who personally visited the shrine of the late Imam Khomeini; under such circumstances, others would not have announced such a visit.

On the first day of the 12-day war, there was a vacuum in military command due to assassinations, but within hours the situation changed. During that vacuum, many critical decisions were made by His Eminence the Leader in the very first hours of the war.

When the people took to the streets, they proved that the memory of the Revolution’s victory is still alive, while others had sought to prevent such marches. Their planning included networks and distributed weapons.

We have not initiated any war over the past 47 years, and we do not want this reality to change.

🇾🇪 | Mohammed Al-Farah, Member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah, Yemen:

If we approach this hypothesis from a purely political angle, it cannot be ruled out. Historically, U.S. policy has often sought to escape its internal crises and scandals by provoking wars and creating external crises. Likewise, Zionism, in its political and security activity, relies heavily on blackmail and entrapment.

However, a realistic assessment of the possibility of going to war with Iran shows that this scenario is unlikely.

It is well known that Trump is a man of deals, not a man of wars. He tends toward threats and displays of force rather than engaging in direct military confrontation, especially since a war with Iran would be extremely costly, with uncertain outcomes. Moreover, it would threaten U.S. interests in the Gulf, pose a serious danger to the Israeli enemy, and harm the American economy, particularly if the war were prolonged.

In addition, scandals are not erased by wars. The American media and opposition do not forget simply because a military conflict breaks out, nor does Congress. In fact, any failed war would only multiply the crisis and the scandal rather than contain or overcome them.

Here, Trump’s options narrow, pushing him to think about a swift war rather than a long one. Yet even this hope has been dashed, as Tehran changed its military strategy and declared the end of the “hit-and-run” era. Moreover, statements by the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei, and senior military commanders and officials in Tehran confirmed that any aggression would be considered the beginning of a long war. Tel Aviv would not be safe from Iranian strikes, nor would American bases and interests, or anyone cooperating with the United States.

This has undoubtedly placed Trump in a major dilemma, as the risk of a long-term war would drain the United States and weaken its economy, which is already on the brink of collapse. Many had predicted this and moved to replace the dollar with gold out of fear of an imminent collapse of the American economy. Added to this would be damage to U.S. interests, direct targeting of the Israeli enemy entity, and potential consequences for energy movement and transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

Accordingly, the most likely course, if there is a need to escape the repercussions of the scandal, is to resort to high-ceiling media escalation, continue policies of threats and sanctions, or carry out limited security operations, rather than sliding into a comprehensive and highly risky war.
