He also extended greetings to the organizing committees and those responsible for receiving volunteers at the volunteering centers and organizing their registration forms.
In a meeting with a group of fighters, Al-Hamidawi explained that “a martyr is one who goes out to confront the enemy according to his military and security specialization, fully expecting the possibility of martyrdom or injury more than the chance of survival,” noting that “this is our understanding of martyrdom, not the distorted image promoted by criminal organizations or by embassy-linked agents regarding our martyrs.”
The Secretary-General added that “our belief in this path is based on defensive jihad for our land and sanctities, not on seeking war against others or invading them, because we know that the aggressor is misguided.” He emphasized that “we belong to the nation of Islam, which greets with peace, and we believe in what is stated in the Holy Qur’an regarding the necessity of calling to Allah in the best manner: ‘Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in the best way.’”

He passed away after a prolonged illness, enduring hardship with patience and trust in Allah.
It is also remembered that Nehdiyeh Safi al-Din, the mother of Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah, had passed away in May 2024, prior to the martyrdom of her son on 27 September of the same year. The Nasrallah family stands as a living testimony to sacrifice, perseverance, and steadfast faith.
