This crude and arrogant approach places political forces before a moral and historical responsibility that transcends narrow disputes and short-term calculations. It obliges them to adopt a unified stance rejecting this humiliating domination. The American position does not target a specific individual; rather, it carries a clear political implication aimed at placing Iraq within the sphere of American tutelage—where the United States appoints whom it wishes and removes whom it wishes—in a manner that undermines the very essence of sovereignty and exposes the complicity of certain parties in seeking support from external “lobbies.”

There is no doubt that this reckless policy, if not confronted with firm resistance, amounts to pushing Iraq toward a path of submission and surrender to the hegemony and domination of the American occupier, and toward sinking into the mire of dependency and normalization. The dignity and faith of our people refuse such a fate—our people who have offered convoys of martyrs in defense of their homeland, their sanctities, and their sovereignty.

America does not oppose al-Maliki or others out of concern for Iraq, but out of fear of losing its own influence. Washington’s demands on Tehran are clear, and their renewed leakage through American officials confirms Iran’s rejection of them. These demands are not limited to the nuclear file alone.

In light of the changes the region is undergoing, we wish to point out the following:

1. With regard to blatant foreign interference in Iraq after the occupation, such interference will not end unless Iraq returns to its rightful people and owners, and regains its decision-making power and sovereignty. American interference cannot be justified under the pretexts of combating terrorism or providing economic support, as these interventions represent a clear violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.

2. Since the American occupation, the Iraqi people have witnessed how the country was completely divided along sectarian and ethnic lines through systematic plans disguised under slogans of democracy and human rights, while their real outcomes were destruction, corruption, and the weakening of the state.

3. Imposing political, economic, and security dictates on Iraq, as was done before and after the occupation, means turning the country into an arena of conflict and a tool in the hands of foreign powers that do not want Iraq to be strong and independent.

4. At times, maps are drawn for the country with red and green lines; at other times, the Iraqi file is managed through foreign directives; sometimes the Iraqi parliament is trampled upon; and at other times, the country is run by decisions and dictates issued from Washington or elsewhere.

5. Sovereignty is indivisible. Whoever speaks of Iraq’s sovereignty while justifying foreign intervention is either ignorant or complicit.

Accordingly, we warn against a group of government officials and political representatives who chant slogans of sovereignty day and night, while in reality they are tools for implementing the orders of foreign embassies.

The interference of the American embassy must be confronted and rejected. Everyone must realize that Iraq is not governed from abroad, that its decisions must stem from the will of its people, and that no foreign power should be allowed to impose its guardianship over it.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Regarding the occupying forces, for nearly a year and a half the media has repeatedly attempted to officially announce either the transformation of the occupying forces’ mission into an “advisory” role, or the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, the evacuation of Ain al-Asad and Victoria bases and other joint operations command centers, and their relocation to Erbil at Harir base and the airport. The same news has been repeatedly circulated in the media without any official American statement or declaration. In all such instances, this does not inspire reassurance. Therefore, verification and confirmation are necessary. Accordingly, we call upon all brothers to exercise restraint in their positions until verification is complete and the complete and final withdrawal of these forces from Iraqi territory is achieved—especially since the information available to us indicates discussions about replacing the American occupying forces with other occupying forces from NATO. As a free resistance, we do not differentiate between any foreign military forces on our land, regardless of their origin, whether from NATO, America, or others; all of them remain legitimate targets for us.

As for the American-Zionist attacks and interventions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Iraqi people—people of noble and zealous tribes—will not stand by as spectators toward their friends and those who stood with them in times of hardship and shed blood on their land in the fight against terrorism and takfir. From this standpoint, the honorable position of the Islamic Republic will not pass without an equally honorable, fundamental, and pivotal response. Any American-Zionist military aggression against Iran means that the entire region of West Asia will fall under your soldiers and bases—so prepare your graves. If the battle begins, it will not be ended by those who start it; rather, its fire will be passed from generation to generation and will extend until it reaches your countries and your homes, and no one will escape it.
