Imam Husayn (A) was born in Medina on the 3rd of Shaʿban in the year 4 AH, in the blessed household of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (A) and Fatima al Zahra (S), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (S). The Prophet personally named him Husayn, recited the call to prayer in his ear, and prayed for his protection and greatness. From the moment of his birth, Imam Husayn (A) was raised under the direct guidance of the Prophet (S), embodying purity, courage, and moral clarity, and was destined to become the eternal standard of truth against tyranny.
Imam Husayn (A), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (S) and the eternal martyr of Karbala, stands as the living conscience of the Ummah and the everlasting symbol of resistance against oppression. His stand was not confined to a single moment in history. It is a continuous call that echoes wherever injustice exists. Instead of confronting Zionist occupation and imperial domination, many regimes have normalized relations with the oppressors. They have traded the dignity of the Ummah for political survival and economic favors, walking the same path once taken by Yazid and his supporters.
Yet, as Imam Husayn (A) proved on Ashura, truth never dies. Betrayers may enjoy temporary power, but history remembers them only with disgrace. Resistance, rooted in justice and sacrifice, always outlives tyranny. Palestine will not be erased, and the blood of the oppressed will not be forgotten.

In addition to holding the highest political office of a sovereign and independent state such as Iran, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei is a Marjaʿ al-Taqlid (a religious reference for tens of millions of Shiʿa Muslims around the world) and an eminent spiritual authority, recognized as such by religious seminaries and Islamic communities in every nation. Setting his image on fire can only make us understand how, in the West, respect for any moral or religious principle, as well as for the most basic norms of education and decency, is completely ignored, when not outright trampled upon, as in the reprehensible case at hand.
We firmly condemn such an ignoble act, praying that Almighty God, the Holder of all strength and power, may guide those who are astray and cause Truth and Justice to prevail.

The Saudi-Emirati military confrontations in the region, in particular in Yemen, should greatly worry Israel and the United States (and must delight Iran and the Houthis).
What happened?
In short, Israel fell victim to its own historic success. We severely damaged Iran's capabilities, their nuclear project, and all their proxies.
In long, in 2015 the new Saudi King [Salman bin Abdulaziz] came to power and sent Netanyahu a note, congratulating the Israeli Prime Minister on his speech in front of the US Congress against the Obama Nuclear Deal. The Saudis and Israelis saw eye-to-eye here. The seeds of cooperation were born, culminating in the Abraham Accords. The Iran file reached the peak of its interest and the Palestinian file reached its lowest power ever. From 2020, the new and current Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, embarked on a campaign to prepare hearts for peace with Israel.
The date is now late 2023. October 7 changes everything. It both reignited Arab interest in the Palestinian issue and led to an Israel–Iran war on seven fronts. Saudis received from Tehran what it didn't from Tel Aviv, and Netanyahu and [Strategic Minister] Dermer were not particularly eager to pay any price to the Saudis either. “If not, then not—no force,” Netanyahu said in one cabinet meeting.
Now the Saudis not just no longer celebrate them, but are trying to undermine the Abraham Accords foundations of support, from Morocco to the UAE.
