🇮🇷 | Imam Khamenei (H); The Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Guardian of Islamic resistance, this morning, in a meeting with various groups of people on the anniversary of the Mission of the Great Prophet of Islam: (1/5):
The Mission of the Prophet is a manifestation of true human civilization. If humanity wishes to live in the best possible way, it must live according to the program that was presented through the Mission. It is only through that program that humanity can live well. But where did this event, this occurrence, take place? It took place under the worst imaginable conditions. The Mission occurred among a people who, morally, practically, intellectually, and spiritually, were considered the worst, most wretched, most stubborn, most aggressive, most oppressive, and most tyrannical among the societies of that time. Arabia was like this. In such an environment, the Mission took place, Islam was born, and the Quran was revealed.
Islam is founded upon reason and faith. All Islamic programs must be evaluated, understood, and practiced through reason and faith. Those people had neither reason nor faith. The Prophet entered such a society and recited these divine statements, this divine revelation, the word of God, to such a people. Within a period of only thirteen years, he was able to produce from among these very people figures such as Ammar, Abu Dharr, and Miqdad. From among these same people. This shows the strength of Islam, the strength of the divine religion, and the power of divine laws and teachings, which are so great that they can create such unparalleled nobility from such people.
We must correct our actions, we must correct our work, we must correct our hearts. If we are able to do these things, listen to the advice of the Quran, the advice of Islam, the advice of the Prophet, give importance to Nahj al Balagha, and act upon it, then we too will have what the Prophet had at the time of the Mission, and we will be able to do what the Prophet was able to do at that time. We can turn the world toward righteousness. Societies under the domination of these same unworthy people can be transformed into human building and progressive societies, if, God willing, “if you are believers” is realized.
We must be vigilant, act upon what we know, and avoid sin. Our faith today is not a faith that produces Abu Dharr. Of course, fortunately, in the Islamic Republic, on an individual level, there have been Abu Dharr like individuals, including these great and renowned martyrs, some even unknown. They exist. But society must change. Righteousness must encompass the entire society.
The Day of the Mission is such a day. Such a faith was presented on that day. Those who accepted it included the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, and Lady Khadijah accepted this faith. At the very beginning, there were no others.
Today, human societies suffer from the same traits that existed in the era of ignorance, only expressed in different language and through different methods. The same oppression of that time exists today. That arrogance exists today. That corruption exists today. You hear it in world news over the past months. They have created islands of corruption. Is this a joke? Moral corruption, practical corruption, oppression, force, bullying, interference. They strike anyone they can reach and seize wherever they are able to.
This is today’s world. Islam is the same Islam, and this Islam can transform today’s world completely. It can. We can. Not necessarily just you and me personally, but the supporters of Islam, the believers in Islam, the faithful to Islam can pull the world out of the downward slope of corruption and lead it toward the heights of righteousness, salvation, and dignity. They can pull it from the direction of hell toward paradise. This is possible even today.

First of all, the nature of this sedition was American. This was clear. The Americans planned it and carried it out. America’s goal, and I say this firmly and explicitly, based on more than forty years of experience in the Islamic Republic, is to devour Iran.
From the beginning of the Revolution until today, the domination they once exercised over this country was destroyed by the people, by the youth, and by all segments of society, under the leadership of the great Imam.
From the very first day, they have sought to restore that domination, meaning placing Iran once again under their military, political, and economic control. That is the objective.
This is not about the current US president, nor about a former one. This is about US policy.
America’s policy is this: a country with these characteristics, in such a sensitive geographical position, with these capabilities, size, and population, is intolerable to them.
A country advancing scientifically and technologically across multiple fields is intolerable to the Americans. We consider the US president a criminal, due to the casualties, the destruction, and the slander directed at the Iranian nation.
In the past, when unrest of this kind occurred, it was usually American journalists, second tier US politicians, or European governments that intervened. What distinguished this unrest was that the President of the United States himself personally entered the arena of incitement and plunder.
He spoke, threatened, encouraged rioters, and sent messages from America urging them forward, telling them not to fear, and saying, “We support you; we will provide military support.”
That is, the US president himself became directly involved in the unrest and became part of it.
A group within this unrest, including those who carried out destruction, arson, illegal acts, and killings, were presented by him as “the Iranian people.”
This was a great slander against the Iranian nation. He said, “These are the Iranian people; I want to defend the Iranian people.”
These are crimes.
The reasons stated are documented. Nothing is hidden. He spoke openly and encouraged openly. There is continuous documented evidence that both the United States and the Zionist regime provided assistance.
The Iranian nation broke the back of this sedition.
On January 12, millions of Iranians made that day historic, like the 22nd of Bahman. Another 22nd of Dey was created, adding a new honor to the nation’s record.
With several million people in Tehran and massive crowds in many other cities, the Iranian people delivered a powerful blow to the loud claiming pretenders. Praise be to God.
The agents behind the riots fall into two categories.
One group consisted of individuals carefully selected, identified, and taken abroad by US and Israeli intelligence services.
Some were trained locally in arson, intimidation, movement, and evasion of law enforcement.
They were also given large sums of money.
These individuals considered themselves ringleaders and even referred to themselves as “leaders” of the crowds.
A large number of them have been arrested and detained.
The military, law enforcement, and security forces performed well, and many of these malicious criminal elements have been apprehended.
Others did not have direct ties to intelligence agencies.
These were naive teenagers whose emotions were deliberately manipulated.
They were the foot soldiers. Their task was to attack police stations, houses, offices, banks, industrial centers, and electricity facilities.
The ringleaders directed them in groups of ten, twenty, or fifty, instructing them where to go and what crimes to commit.
