This task force, consisting of the frigate Makran, the destroyer Shahid Naqdi of the Iranian Navy, and the vessel Shahid Mahdavi of the IRGC Navy, after 50 days of sailing through the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Indian Ocean, and the Mozambique Channel, has docked at Simon’s Town port.
The “Will for Peace 2026” exercise will be held for eight days, hosted by South Africa at the Cape of Good Hope, with the participation of more than 20 naval and aviation combat units from Iran, Russia, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, the UAE, and Indonesia.

Ministry of Intelligence personnel seized equipment including 100 long-range receivers, 50 BTS signal amplifiers, 743 5G modems of various brands, and 799 next-generation mobile phones that were illegally smuggled into Iran from a neighbouring country.
The ministry confirmed the equipment would have enabled foreign-linked operatives to access mobile networks and the internet in areas without telecommunications coverage.
