Palestinian journalist Sami al-Saai has described being tortured and raped while detained in Israel’s Megiddo prison. Al-Saai was detained by Israeli forces on 23 February 2024.

He talks about the other prisoners and what they endured also - rape by a dog, by one of the prison guards - the epitome of evil is being exposed to the world. What will the world do?

After the terrorist Abu Muhammad al-Julani appointed all of his brothers, several relatives, and in-laws to government positions, Syrians recently discovered that a man named “Raafat Hassan” had been appointed Director General of the Arab Advertising Corporation. Raafat Hassan is actually the brother of Asaad al-Sheibani, who serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Notably, Raafat Hassan reportedly dropped his family name (al-Sheibani) from official records, and his real surname or connection to Asaad al-Sheibani was not publicly known. Observers say this may be an attempt to hide nepotism and corruption in the allocation of government positions.

🏴‍☠️| The Iranian hacking group “Handala” has claimed that it breached the personal mobile phone of former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. According to the group, it extracted a collection of documents, messages, and personal as well as administrative files from an iPhone 13. The group stated that the leaked data includes contact lists of senior officials, internal correspondence, sensitive documents, and personal photographs. The material reportedly also contains political messages and notes indicating internal disagreements and criticism within the government structure, including an assessment describing Israel’s internal security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir as a “political risk” to the ruling coalition. The group published the material online under the name “Operation Octopus.”Naftali Bennett said the matter is being handled by the relevant security and cyber authorities, and added that the device in question is no longer in use.

🇮🇷: 🇪🇹 | The visit of the Ethiopian Parliament Speaker to Iran opens a new chapter in bilateral relations

Manouchehr Mottaki, head of the Iranian–Ethiopian Parliamentary Friendship Group, described the visit of Ethiopian Parliament Speaker Tagesh Chafo to Iran as the beginning of a new chapter in relations between the two countries.

Mottaki explained that the visit took place at the invitation of the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and provided an opportunity for the Ethiopian delegation to meet with senior Iranian officials, including the Speaker of Parliament, the President, and the Foreign Minister.

He added that the visit program included tours of the Iranian Innovation and Technology House exhibition and a defense industries exhibition, enabling the delegation to gain first-hand insight into Iran’s scientific, technological, and industrial capabilities, as well as its international position and export capacity.

The Ethiopian delegation also became familiar with the defensive capabilities of the Islamic Republic, particularly achievements made after the Islamic Revolution, including Iran’s experience in defense during the 12-day war launched by the Zionist entity, which reportedly attracted significant interest from the delegation.

Mottaki emphasized that such visits would serve as a platform for exchanging views and strengthening cooperation between Iran and Ethiopia, opening new horizons for bilateral partnerships in the scientific, technological, and defense sectors.

🇱🇧 | The town of Odaisseh in southern Lebanon was completely destroyed during the Israeli war that escalated in late 2024. Once home to thousands, the town was reduced to rubble as a result of relentless Israeli airstrikes and demolitions by Israeli troops. 🇮🇶 | Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of six suspected ISIS members during coordinated security operations carried out in Kirkuk, Mosul, and Baghdad. According to the statement, some of the detainees were involved in transporting logistical supplies to ISIS sleeper cells.

The operations were conducted in cooperation with Iraqi intelligence agencies and security forces of the Kurdistan Region. In addition to the arrests, CTS units carried out clearance operations in Dibis district of Kirkuk and in the Hamrin mountain range in Salahaddin province, resulting in the destruction of six ISIS hideouts and cave complexes.

Occupied Syria

• Areas in the Rashaya district, near the latest Israeli occupation point in Syria around the village of Rukhleh, remain under heightened observation.

Yemen

• Mass marches and vigils were held at Ibb University and several universities, colleges, institutes, and the Higher Academy of the Holy Quran in Saada, Al-Nadhir, and Sha‘ara, condemning the American abuse of the Holy Quran.

• In response to a call by Yemen’s leader, organizers designated Seventy Field in Sana‘a for participation in the “Mobilization and Alertness March in Support of the Quran and Palestine” on Friday evening.

Egypt

• Egypt condemned the Israeli government’s approval of the establishment of 19 new settlements in the West Bank.

Israel / Eastern Mediterranean

• Hebrew Channel 14 reported that senior security officials in Israel, Greece, and Cyprus are studying the feasibility of establishing a joint rapid-response brigade, aimed at enhancing military cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean amid concerns over Turkey’s growing military capabilities.

United Arab Emirates / Israel

• The Hebrew website Walla reported that the UAE is the undisclosed buyer behind a $2.3 billion deal with Israeli firm Elbit Systems to supply advanced military systems.

• According to Intelligence Online, the deal includes J-Music laser-based aircraft protection systems, to be manufactured in the UAE as part of a joint project.

• Implemented over eight years, the agreement is considered the second-largest arms deal in Israel’s history and follows expanded security cooperation since normalization in 2020, including joint production initiatives with the UAE’s EDGE group.

Iran

• The head of the Iranian Space Organization, Hassan Salarieh, announced that Iran is preparing an experimental launch of a new biological capsule into space next year.

• The capsule has entered final design and construction stages, with the first phase planned as a semi-orbital test to validate technical capabilities.

🏴‍☠️ | Israel has officially approved a $35 billion natural gas deal with Egypt, described by Israeli officials as the largest agreement in the entity's history.

Criminal Netanyahu, who have killed 70,000 Palestinians, announced the approval of the deal, which is valued at approximately 112 billion shekels.

The announcement comes amid reports of American diplomatic pressure and ahead of a potential trilateral summit involving Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
