A wealthy young man, his mother and sister Zeinab were his only family, and the shoes he wore in his last mission were a gift from his wife, given a month before the flood began. He once said he hunted Merkavas like small birds. That elegant scene was after noon prayer, when he rose to his Creator, wounded in his back yet refusing to leave the battlefield until recovery. He died uttering the testimony, raising his finger in the sign of monotheism, as all the great ones do. May Allah have mercy on him.
