🇵🇸 | October 7 marks the anniversary of a historical, global game changer, a day that reshaped the balance of power, disrupted entrenched political orders, and showed the real impact of resistance and strategic action on the course of regional and global events.

☑️ | Those who are posting and mockingly asking about the “achievements of the resistance” over the past two years are clearly not aware. They do not follow developments, fail to understand the complex scenarios, and remain unaware of authentic sources. Their analysis is superficial, blunt, and lacks the seriousness required to grasp both pre- and post-war realities. They ignore the planning, the sacrifices made, and the long-term objectives pursued quietly behind the scenes. Such people are not observers, analysts, or supporters — they are distractions, and they cannot be considered friends of the cause. True followers are informed, vigilant, and recognize that progress is measured not only in headlines but in sustained impact, resilience, and the ability to challenge hegemonic powers over time. Furthermore, the resistance and its supporters have never counted the things you are claiming as losses, and what you perceive as losses were never considered as such by those involved.

🏴‍☠️ | What is happening in Syria?

First and foremost, it must be clarified that we do not support the American-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and questions about the American- and Israeli-formed HTS carry zero value. Following the collapse of the so-called deal which led to Kurdish militancy, the SDF factions were shown by Turkish propaganda to have been reduced to fragmented and largely symbolic forces, a process orchestrated over forty years under Erdogan’s supervision and American guidance. The Americans remain behind the SDF, with Tom Barrack currently maintaining ties both with Mazloum Abdi and Julani. HTS claims that its recent movements in northern and northeastern Syria are in response to repeated SDF attacks on civilians and military points, framing them as part of a planned redeployment and asserting that they have no offensive intentions. Reports indicate that the SDF targeted HTS checkpoints near Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafiyah in Aleppo, injuring two civilians at Al-Awrad Bridge due to heavy machine gun fire, while unconfirmed reports suggest clashes in other areas of the contact zone, including Raqqah, and the killing of a significant number of Julani-affiliated terrorists at the entrances of Sheikh Maqsoud. According to the SDF, what is happening in Aleppo is a direct result of provocations by HTS gangs and their attempts to advance with tanks, while some media outlets circulate false claims alleging that the SDF targeted Damascus government checkpoints in the area. These allegations are entirely false, as the SDF withdrew from the area under the April 1 understanding. The ongoing situation in Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud is instead the result of repeated attacks by HTS gangs, who have imposed severe security and humanitarian blockades, cut off relief and medical supplies, kidnapped residents, conducted daily provocations at checkpoints, and recently raised earthen barriers around the neighborhoods. In a dangerous escalation, these factions have attempted to advance with tanks and armored vehicles, targeting residential areas with mortars and drones, resulting in civilian casualties and extensive property damage. Kurdish residents have been forced to defend themselves alongside the SDF, who are fulfilling their duty to protect civilians and maintain stability, while the Damascus government remains fully responsible for the blockade, systematic violations against civilians, and dangerous escalation that threatens regional stability.

The attacks on Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh began after claims of negotiations between a Syrian government delegation and the SDF to evacuate Aleppo of SDF members, with reports stating that if the SDF refused, they would be expelled through a large-scale military operation. However, the first attack was launched by Julani, as HTS-led forces and allied Bedouin tribes targeted the Kurdish SDF-held neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsoud. It is evident that Julani informed Erdogan and requested assistance to suppress the SDF, which resulted in massacres by Turkish forces in the Tishrin Dam areas. This coordination of warfare is expected to lead to the mass killing of unarmed civilians, including women and children, and the destruction of villages surrounding the dam.

Understanding Syria requires recognizing its extreme complexity, which cannot be grasped through imperial media narratives or their offshoots like Al Jazeera. The real dynamics of the conflict can only be understood through independent research, authentic sources, and careful study of local realities.

Syria was never a simple case of a two-horned despot named Assad ruling over a passive population. Instead, it was an entangled web of alliances, rivalries, and overlapping interests, with good, grey, and bad elements in every faction and group. The invasion and destabilization efforts of the past years, driven by groups formed, installed, and backed by American, Israeli, Arab, and Zionist lobbies, were designed to impose control over the region and exploit sectarian divisions. However, this strategy was doomed to fail, not because of a simple Shia versus Sunni crusade, but because Syria’s internal realities are far more complex. While sectarian narratives have been used repeatedly by opportunistic actors, sectarianism alone has never been the main driver of conflict; it has been amplified by foreign funding and strategic interference to create chaos and justify intervention.

Syria’s internal landscape is a patchwork of competing grievances, social cleavages, local power struggles, and historical legacies that intersect in asymmetrical patterns. Foreign evil, including the United States, Turkey, Israel, and regional Zionist Arab states, miscalculated in believing that imposing a despotic ruler or relying on proxy forces could secure long-term control.

Internally, there was no pure Shia versus Sunni binary; instead there were overlapping political, economic, tribal, and local grievances arranged in asymmetrical patterns. External operators American, Turkish, Israeli, Arab, and other proxies mistakenly believed that imposing a dictator or planting pliant actors across the country would secure their goals. That calculation is flawed. Local dynamics are resilient and messy: neighbourhood-level disputes, tribal rivalries, militia economies, and reconstruction networks will continue to produce one–two–one and one–two–two patterns of shifting alliances, ceasefires, and flare-ups.

External mafias may extract short-term benefits, but they cannot fully control the social substrate. Actors like Julani may ultimately be killed, displaced, or fade away, but their removal will not magically stabilise Syria; vacuum and competition will persist unless genuine political settlement and social repair take place.

What this means is that any analysis which relies on sloganistic binaries misses the structural realities: a collapsed economy that incentivises militia rule, fragmented authority that normalises local predation, and an ecology of patronage that binds communities to outside paymasters.

The path out requires multi-layered solutions: local reconciliation mechanisms, economic recovery that cuts militia rents, protection of civilians, genuine decentralised governance, and careful management of external influence. Above all, observers must stop reading Syria through the prism of easy narratives manufactured by interested powers. Learn from the ground, follow independent sources, map local grievances and networks, and you will see a country where complexity, not caricature, determines outcomes.

🟩 | Key Points from the Hamas Movement’s Press Statement on the Second Anniversary of the Eternal Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, delivered by movement leader Fawzi Barhoum:

• The West Bank and occupied Quds are not separate from the fascist agenda of the expansionist occupation government, which seeks to annex, displace, and completely seize the land, while imposing temporal and spatial divisions on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

• These plans clearly expose the occupation’s aggressive and expansionist nature, which poses a direct threat to regional and international security and stability.

• Our prisoners and detainees in the Zionist occupation prisons are enduring a double hell of starvation, humiliation, and systematic torture. Around 80 prisoners have been martyred, including 50 from the Gaza Strip, due to torture, deliberate medical neglect, and deprivation of food and medicine.

• On the second anniversary of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, we bow with reverence and respect to the souls of our martyrs who rose during the long march of struggle and steadfastness against Zionist aggression.

• We mourn the righteous leaders who ascended during the eternal Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa — foremost among them Martyr Leader Ismail Haniyeh, Martyr Leader Saleh al-Arouri, Martyr Leader Yahya Sinwar, and Martyr Commander Muhammad Deif of the Al-Qassam Brigades — along with the convoys of our free martyrs from Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Jordan, Turkey, and Qatar, whose pure blood has mixed with that of our people on the road to liberating Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa.

🟨 | Statement issued by Hezbollah on the second anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“How many a small group has overcome a large group by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient.”

The Almighty, the Most High, has spoken the truth.

On the second anniversary of the heroic Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood, the battle of sacrifice, liberation, will, and steadfastness; the battle of confronting oppression and occupation and defending sanctities and dignity, Hezbollah renews its pledge of solidarity with the steadfast and resisting people of Palestine, who, through their endurance and patience amid suffering and pain, have written the highest lessons of honor and dignity in the face of the most criminal Zionist entity, supported by a savage American administration, while a submissive, shackled world watches massacres, killings, and destruction without lifting a finger.

This sacred battle, from its very first moment, exposed the true face of the criminal Zionist entity, stripped of any human quality, and its arrogant American tyrant that tramples upon all laws, international resolutions, and human values, violating the sovereignty of nations and attacking their peoples, committing massacres and genocide, and waging a war of starvation and displacement against the people of Gaza, revealing openly its expansionist and aggressive designs.

The security, stability, and future of the region depend on unity of stance and word, on cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries and their peoples, and on strengthening ranks in support of the resistance and its path. Words rejecting Israeli aggression must be translated into deeds that deter this enemy, which understands only the language of force and confrontation. This nation must realize that the Zionist entity is a dagger planted in its heart, a malignant cancerous gland that must be excised before it spreads further, bringing ruin and devastation wherever it exists.

We in Hezbollah and our Islamic Resistance, walking in the path of the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may Allah have mercy on him), and his Hashemite companion (may Allah have mercy on him), remain committed to safeguarding the trust of resistance and the blood of martyrs. On this anniversary, we extend our reverence and highest salute to the righteous martyr leaders and all martyrs who rose on the path to Jerusalem, to the wounded, the prisoners, and to all who stood firm, supported, and sacrificed for the sake of Jerusalem and Palestine.

Salutations to the free and steadfast people of Palestine, rooted in their land, who faced the Zionist killing machine with bare chests. Salutations to the hungry children of Gaza, the bereaved mothers, and the free hearts that cling to the hope of imminent relief.

Salutations to the Palestinian resistance in all its factions, and to the brave mujahideen who for two years have fought the sacred battle in defense of Jerusalem and the Ummah, confronting the most tyrannical forces on earth in an epic struggle.

Salutations to all who have supported and stood with Gaza and its people, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may his shadow endure), to its people, government, and armed forces; to proud Yemen, its leadership, people, and valiant forces; to Iraq, its resistance, religious authority, people, and government. We also salute the free peoples of the world who have raised the voice of Palestine high and conveyed to the world the cries and anguish of the children and women of Gaza.

This great historic occasion will remain eternal in memory, the story of a people who rose against an occupier that usurped their land, who fought, sacrificed, and stood firm, and with Allah’s permission will triumph. They are indeed worthy of victory. Palestine will return in its entirety to its rightful people, despite all conspirators, normalizers, and cowards. This is a divine promise, and Allah never breaks His promise.
