In the escalation in Khan Yunis, south Gaza, members of the Al-Mujaida clan publicly displayed the bodies of Al-Qassam martyrs whom they killed this morning in the Al-Mujaida neighborhood. According to sources linked to Fatah, at least five Hamas fighters were kidnapped alive by the Al-Mujaida clan, and negotiations are currently underway with Hamas for their release.

These same sources also suggest that there is an investigation into whether the current commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade of Hamas, Abu Hamad Hamdan, was killed during the clashes with the clan. Meanwhile, enemy OSINT portals are openly celebrating these incidents.

To halt the aggression and extermination campaign against our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip, and in fulfillment of our national responsibility to protect our people’s constants, rights, and supreme interests, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas conducted in-depth consultations with its leadership institutions, Palestinian factions, and brotherly mediators and allies to determine a responsible position regarding US President Donald Trump’s plan.

After extensive study, the movement has made its decision and submitted its response to the mediators as follows:

• Acknowledgment: Hamas appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as President Trump’s calls to end the war on Gaza, facilitate prisoner exchanges, allow immediate entry of aid, reject occupation, and prevent displacement of the Palestinian people.

• Prisoner Exchange: To achieve a ceasefire and complete withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas approves the release of all living and deceased prisoners of occupation according to the exchange formula outlined in Trump’s proposal, provided field conditions allow. Hamas confirms its readiness to enter negotiations immediately through mediators to finalize details.

• Gaza Administration: Hamas reiterates its approval for transferring Gaza’s administration to a Palestinian body of independents (technocrats), based on Palestinian national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic partners.

• Future Issues: Other matters related to Gaza’s future and the inherent rights of the Palestinian people mentioned in the proposal will be addressed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, where Hamas will actively participate and contribute responsibly, guided by international law and relevant resolutions.

It is neither entirely negative nor fully positive, though it leans toward the positive given the extremely harsh and unbearable circumstances. ☑️ | Hamas has replied with the highest level of understanding of the situation, in one of the most precise ways. Hamas response statement rejects external guardianship and Trump’s so-called “peace council” for managing the sector, confining Gaza’s future to the comprehensive Palestinian national dimension.

It raises the critical point that the future of Gaza must be negotiated and decided through national consensus. However, Trump may not initially accept this, since his aim appears to be the effective occupation of Gaza. Now, the ball is in his court: if he abandons his egotistical and psychopathic demands and allows Hamas to sit at the negotiating table and take part in shaping Gaza’s future, then a way forward may emerge.

Hamas also did not accept the idea of disarming, instead insisting that this matter requires negotiations. Once again, it bounced back Trump’s ambitions — and if this goes against his manic impulses, he may not accept it.

In particular, Trump personally pressed for the presence of a foreign military force in Gaza and the disarmament of the resistance — both of which Hamas firmly rejected. Given this, it seems unlikely that Trump will move forward with his plan. Besides, Trump’s demands are much like his speeches — loud one day, and fading with the turn of the clock— and only time will tell how far he is willing to push them.

What Hamas is doing now is part of psychological warfare — shifting the burden of the problem onto Israel and the United States. If we recall correctly, Trump said the answer should be a simple “yes or no.” Soon we will see whether Trump’s word is truly iron or Tin can.

The message is clear: resistance and its weapons will remain, no matter who rules but a palestinian.

Hamas has signaled readiness to step down from governing, but on the condition that the next authority must be Palestinian and chosen through national consensus. If Trump were to accept this, then technically he and his allies would lose this battle forever. However, the path forward still seems uncertain.
