The liberal Nawaf-Aoun duo has declared exactly what was dictated to them. But one thing is clearer than ever: both will eventually flee Lebanon. The situation may tremble, but it is evident that the Resistance has not even allowed them to start the talks and they left before it was announced. Lebanese Government merely announced what the terrorist Tom has brought upon them. Now, we are entering a phase of sudden changes in the political landscape: serious and critical changes. But one thing remains certain: no one will be able to take the weapons from Hezbollah. Now Protests are also erupting in the south of Lebanon, as well as the Bekaa region—two regions under Hezbollah-Amal influence.

The responsibility lies with Joseph Aoun, Nawaf Salam, and the political forces that participated with them in this decision. The term “Nawaf Salam government” should not be used, as it will be understood within the Sunni community in a way that is disconnected from politics and reality. The conflict is political, and therefore terms must be used carefully and thoughtfully. When we say there is a goal to exclude the Shiites, we mean there is external pressure pushing for that, and unfortunately some inside are complying.
