🇮🇷 | Updates from the Islamic Republic of Iran:

1. Former Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has warned of a possible “sudden” war with israel and the United States, urging constant military readiness. His remarks come in the aftermath of the recent 12-day israeli-Iranian war.

2. Iranian state television, citing intelligence sources, revealed the identities of several zionist pilots who participated in airstrikes on Iran during the war. The report states that Iranian intelligence has complete information about these pilots, including their identities, residences, and even work schedules. They are not considered safe. Intelligence officials also claimed that some of these pilots’ locations were bombed. Following that, they were reportedly moved to civilian areas in order to frame Iran for targeting non-military zones.

Why has this council been formed?

Iran is activating constitutional capacities under Article 176, which empowers the Supreme National Security Council to form subsidiary councils such as the Defense Council and Internal Security Council. These councils are chaired either by the President or another Supreme Council member appointed by the President. Their responsibilities and authorities are defined by law and approved by the Supreme Authority.

The Defense Council structure was approved a few days ago. According to this framework, the President will chair the council, and one of the senior military commanders may be appointed by the President to serve as the council’s secretary.

The main objectives of forming this body include enhancing Iran’s defensive readiness, involving key military leaders in decision-making beyond those already sitting in the Supreme National Security Council, and accelerating critical decisions related to national defense.
