Any call for disarmament is effectively a call for stripping Lebanon of its strength. The state must fulfill two essential duties: halting the attacks by all means and beginning reconstruction. The state must rebuild even if it must draw from the treasury. Anyone, whether internal, Arab, or international, who demands the surrender of weapons is, in reality, backing the Israeli project.

He stressed:

Let the aggression stop, let israel retreat, and let the prisoners be returned then you will receive from us the sweetest discourse and the best kind of response. We support sovereignty, independence, and liberation, and we ask the government to be more resolute in confronting aggression and in rebuilding. We also ask the state to stand against those inciting sedition and serving the Israeli project. Lebanon is the final homeland for all its citizens, and we will not allow anyone to annex it to "israel."
