🏴 | Today, the shrine of Ruqayyah bint Imam Husayn (A) was emptier than ever:

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyidah Ruqayyah [Sakina] bint Imam Husayn (S), her sacred shrine in Damascus stood in a state of profound solitude. An unusual silence filled the courtyard with only a handful of visitors present and no mourning ceremonies held. .

🏴 | Narrations are there, but they need to be studied and filtered. The filtered ones tell the tragic stories of the daughters of Imam Husayn (A). There are substantial references even among early Sunni historians who are accepted on both sides and considered reputable due to their honest tendencies. Then come the Shi'a references, which stand primary because they focused more deeply on these issues. Following that are secondary and tertiary sources, which often provide even more detailed and efficient information.

Imam Husayn (A) had three daughters in Karbala: Fatima al-Kubra, Ruqayyah, and Sakina (or Fatima al-Sughra). However, usually the name of Ruqayyah is taken to refer to the youngest, the 3- to 4-year-old daughter of the Imam. In many references, Imam Husayn (A) can be found calling them separately. But over the centuries, there have been mix-ups in narrations, details, and additions by reciters (rawis), which shaped the collective memory. That’s why I found that there were indeed three daughters in Karbala. The youngest one, around 3 years old, is buried in Damascus. Some call her Ruqayyah; some call her Sakina. We can even call her Ruqayyah al-Sughra.

This 3-year-old daughter of Imam Husayn (A) was actively analysing everything in Karbala. She spoke to her father before he left for the battlefield. It is authentically narrated that she was starving and thirsty. It is also authentically reported that Shimr tied her on the naked bones of a camel. She was slapped, beaten, thrashed by her hair, and struck to the ground. (References are there.)

It is clear that she died from her injuries, thirst, and starvation. Ahlulbayt buried her in the dungeon of Yazid, near the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. She is alive through her memory. In the same city, somewhere, Muawiyah is buried, and somewhere, Yazid is buried, and both of them vanished like the word vanish. But she is alive today and until the Day of Judgement.

It is narrated in authentic Sunni references that Yazid was laughing when these daughters of the Prophet’s grandson were brought before him: barefoot, coated in dust, tied with ropes. He gleefully asked them, “How was the parade?”

One of the daughters of Imam Husayn (A), some say it was the eldest, who closely resembled Fatimah al-Zahra (S), and some say it was this baby girl responded:

"Today is our parade… tomorrow will be yours, on the Day of Judgement."

During the 66-day war, the resistance successfully prevented “Israel” from occupying any territory; an achievement that was clearly reflected in the terms of the ceasefire agreement. The occupation of the five points and the ensuing escalation occurred only after that agreement was violated, largely due to the changing dynamics in Syria, which significantly shifted strategic calculations.

Those who claim that the resistance failed to provide protection are misrepresenting reality and distorting the facts.

There is a clear flaw within the current media structure and its leadership when it comes to properly conveying the truth. Too many narratives are based on personal interpretations, not on coordinated communication.

🟨 | [30/07/2025; Beirut] — Shaykh al-Muqawemah Hadhrat Hujjat al-Islam wal Muslimeen Shaykh Naim Qassim (H), Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, said in a speech marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Shaheed Fuad Shukr (r), a prominent commander of Hezbollah: (1/2):

"Before 1982, Shaheed Fuad Shukr led a group of ten brothers who named themselves Mithaq Group (Covenant Group), pledging to confront Israel and remain on the frontlines. After nine of its members were martyred, Fuad Shukr waited 35 years for martyrdom. He was a devoted follower of Imam Khomeini (r), and after his passing, he remained loyal to Imam Khamenei (H). Fuad Shukr was one of the founders and among the first commanders of the resistance."

He added:

"After the assassination of Abbas al-Mousawi, Shaheed Fuad Shukr commanded the battles of Kafra and Yater. When Hezbollah decided to send a group of fighters to Bosnia, he led that mission. He was also the founder of Hezbollah’s naval unit."

He further stated:

"Shaheed Fuad Shukr acted as a Chief of Staff in support operations and was in constant communication with Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah until his martyrdom. He always remained among the people and was known for his distinctive strategic thinking."

He added:

"israel and the United States are committing organized and deliberate crimes in Gaza on a daily basis. No crime in the world compares to the large-scale crimes being committed by the Israeli enemy in Gaza with full support from the United States. The world must stand united against Israel to put an end to this defiance, which affects all of humanity."

Shaykh Naim Qassim continued:

"We salute Georges Abdallah, who remained steadfast in captivity for 41 years and refused to sign a paper renouncing his beliefs just to live a few more days in comfort. The freed prisoner Georges Abdallah is an inseparable part of the diverse experience of the resistance, which has come together to liberate land and preserve dignity."

He added:

"The resistance in Lebanon has proven to be a fundamental pillar in state-building. We are moving in two directions: first, the liberation of land from the grip of the enemy, and second, building a state through public participation, so that the country is made by its people and no group dominates over another. The resistance is the backbone of the army so that the triad of Army, People, and Resistance remains active not symbolic. The ceasefire agreement in Lebanon was an achievement for both us and the Israeli side, and such outcomes are natural in any agreement. We assisted the government in implementing this agreement, which is limited to the south of the Litani River. Anyone who links the ceasefire to the disarmament of the resistance should be told clearly: this is a domestic matter."

He emphasized:

"Some assumed that Hezbollah had become weak, but they were surprised by our political and popular presence during the funerals of the martyrs Nasrallah and Safi al-Din, and in the municipal elections. This resistance remains strong in all political and social dimensions, which testifies to its strength. The enemy violated the ceasefire, and when the state assumed responsibility and committed to follow up, we no longer had to respond on behalf of everyone."

He added:

"The weapons of the resistance are an internal Lebanese matter and have nothing to do with the Israeli enemy. Amos Hochstein, the former U.S. envoy, gave a clear guarantee of Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire. The current U.S. envoy, Amos Hochstein, was surprised by Lebanon's unified stance that Israeli attacks must stop before any discussion of the resistance’s weapons can begin."

Shaykh Naim Qassim stated:

The enemy will not stop at the five occupied points and is awaiting the disarmament of the resistance to continue its expansionist agenda and establish settlements. While the agreement in the northern settlements brought security there, has it brought security to Lebanon? We are facing the Syrian model, where the enemy kills and bombs, redrawing Syria’s geographical, political, and future map.

He added:

Today in Lebanon, we are facing an existential threat to our nation and all its sects from "israel," Daesh, and America under what is called the "New Middle East." We will not accept Lebanon being annexed to "israel"—even if the entire world unites—and as long as we live, we will not allow Lebanon to be taken hostage. Anyone who today calls for disarming the resistance is essentially calling for handing weapons over to "israel." None among us will choose peace or surrender.

He continued:

We defend our land, even if many of us are martyred. What matters is that deviation and occupation do not prevail, and we will defend with all our strength. We do not issue threats, we are in a defensive posture and our position is that this defense knows no limits or borders, even if it leads to martyrdom. The real threat is aggression, and all political discourse should focus on stopping this aggression, not on any other matter. Any call for disarmament is effectively a call for stripping Lebanon of its strength. The state must fulfill two essential duties: halting the attacks by all means and beginning reconstruction. The state must rebuild even if it must draw from the treasury. Anyone, whether internal, Arab, or international, who demands the surrender of weapons is, in reality, backing the Israeli project.

He stressed:

Let the aggression stop, let israel retreat, and let the prisoners be returned then you will receive from us the sweetest discourse and the best kind of response. We support sovereignty, independence, and liberation, and we ask the government to be more resolute in confronting aggression and in rebuilding. We also ask the state to stand against those inciting sedition and serving the Israeli project. Lebanon is the final homeland for all its citizens, and we will not allow anyone to annex it to "israel." Let us raise the slogan: "Through our unity, we will expel Israel from here and build our homeland."

We are ready to discuss how these weapons can be part of Lebanon’s strength, but we will never accept that they be handed over to "israel." Even if the entire world gathers from end to end, and all of us are killed and not a single one remains, israel will not succeed in taking Lebanon hostage.
