(3/5):

The Imam protected the Islamic Revolution from this destructive affliction and granted it immunity. With divine foresight and rationality rooted in faith in Allah and in the unseen, the great Imam ensured that this affliction would not take hold of the Islamic Revolution. That is to say, in our revolution too, there were many emotions. But he ensured that emotions would not derail the original correct path of the revolution or mislead the people away from it.

The Imam ensured that emotions would not be able to divert the main, correct course of the revolution and the movement of the people from their path. What did he do? The Imam’s rationality, which enabled him to do this, manifested in two essential pillars: one was Wilayat al-Faqih, and the other was national independence.

The first pillar, therefore, was Wilayat al-Faqih. Wilayat al-Faqih preserved the religious dimension of this revolution. Without it, this revolution that was born with religious motivation and with sacrifices rooted in faith in Allah would have deviated from the path of religion.

The second pillar was national independence. Of course, national independence does not mean cutting off ties with the surrounding world. Some people should not make the false argument that we have isolated ourselves. No, absolutely not. Independence does not mean having no relations with others. Independence means that Iran, the Iranian nation, stands on its own feet.

The repeated themes in the Imam’s statements fall under this concept of national independence. I will mention a few of these themes. One such theme is the principle of “We can.” The Imam taught us to say and believe that we are capable. During the previous regime, they used to say and made the people believe that we cannot; that we are incapable; that others have to do things for us. The Imam inserted the exact opposite into the national identity of the Iranian people: “We can,” meaning he revived self-confidence in the people and especially in the youth.

This “We can” is so important that there are deliberate efforts to negate it. Right now, in the recent nuclear issue and the negotiations happening with Oman’s mediation, the plan that the Americans have proposed is entirely opposed to the idea of “We can.”

The nuclear industry is not just for energy. Some people imagine that the nuclear industry is only about clean electricity, which of course it is as well clean and inexpensive energy comes from the nuclear industry. But it is not limited to that. This is only one part of the benefits of the nuclear industry.

The nuclear industry is a foundational industry, a mother industry. Experts, scientists, and those whose profession it is have explained this to us, and I hope they explain it more to the people as well. Many scientific fields are influenced by the nuclear industry. Numerous scientific areas are impacted by it, including precision and sensitive technologies such as medical equipment, aerospace, precision sensors, and electronics all of these are related to or influenced by the nuclear industry. This includes basic sciences and engineering fields such as nuclear physics, energy engineering, and materials engineering.

It also includes medical and pharmaceutical applications, both in diagnosis and treatment. The nuclear industry leads in treating certain difficult diseases in both diagnosis and treatment.

In agriculture-related industries, in environmental industries, there are numerous areas like these that are either dependent on or influenced by the nuclear industry.

The nuclear industry is a mother industry, a core industry. Now within the nuclear industry, there is a key element, and that is uranium enrichment.

Our enemies have focused on uranium enrichment. They have fixated on this point. A nuclear industry of such magnitude, without the ability to enrich uranium, is useless. Because for fueling our power plants, we would have to reach out to others.

It’s like having oil in your own country but being prohibited from building refineries or producing gasoline. You have oil, but you must buy gasoline from others. That country may choose to sell to you or not, and at any price it wants. If it doesn’t want to sell, it will come up with excuses. It might say: “Do such-and-such, or else I won’t give you gasoline.”

That is their goal. Even if we had a hundred nuclear power plants, without enrichment, they would be of no use to us. Because a nuclear plant needs fuel. If we cannot produce this fuel domestically, we will have to stretch our hand toward America. And they might attach dozens of conditions to providing us with nuclear fuel. We experienced this in the 2000s.

In the 2000s, over 20% enrichment fuel, the President of the United States himself used two presidents of our friendly countries as intermediaries to tell Iran: “Give us a portion of your 3.5% enriched uranium, and we will give you the 20% fuel that you need.”

We needed the 20% fuel. Our officials agreed. It was decided that there would be an exchange. I said this exchange must be such that they bring the 20% fuel to Bandar Abbas, we test it to ensure it is accurate, then we will take it and give them the 3.5% fuel.

When they saw that we were being meticulous and firm about receiving the 20% fuel, they broke their promise and did not deliver. Of course, during that very time, while our officials were involved in these political tussles over the matter, our scientists inside the country themselves produced the 20% fuel.

(5/5):

The Americans’ main position is that Iran should not have a nuclear industry at all. They want Iran to be dependent on them for radiopharmaceuticals, for energy, for desalination devices, and for dozens of other important fields. They demand that Iran have no nuclear industry whatsoever.

Right now, we have thousands of young scientists in nuclear and nuclear-related fields in the country. Should we disappoint them? Leave them unemployed? Make them lose hope in their country’s future? This is what the Americans want, what they are demanding from us.

The rude and insolent leaders of America repeat this demand in various ways. They are against progress against Iran’s progress, against the self-sufficiency of the Iranian nation. Our response to the nonsense of the loud and incompetent U.S. government is clear. Everyone knows how we’ll respond.

Some years ago, a U.S. president once said, “If I could, I would dismantle every nut and bolt of Iran’s nuclear program.” But he admitted he couldn’t. And since then, the nuts and bolts of our nuclear industry have become even more solid. He confessed: “I couldn’t, if I could, I would have.”

Those in power today whether Zionists or Americans should also know: they can’t. They can’t do a damn thing in this matter.

The first thing we tell the Americans and others regarding nuclear issues is this:

Who do you think you are? Why do you interfere in whether Iran should have enrichment or not? What business is it of yours?

You have nuclear capabilities. You have atomic bombs. You possess massive destructive power. What right do you have to decide whether the Iranian nation may enrich uranium or not? Whether it may have a nuclear industry or not? This is a sovereign nation; it decides for itself. It has nothing to do with you. What legal or moral standing do you have to make these statements?

As for the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza they are truly shocking. One could hardly believe they had such criminal plans.

Look: previously, they would drop a bomb, destroy a house or two, kill ten or fifteen people. They saw that it wasn’t enough.

Now what are they doing? Now they set up a “food distribution center.” Since food is not being allowed into Gaza, people rush to these places to get food. Then, with machine guns, they kill ten times more than what they could with a bomb. Killing people was costing them too much. So they made it cheaper. Instead of bombs, they now use bullets.

This is truly astonishing. Such a crime makes one marvel at how low, wicked, and evil a human being can be to commit something like this.

Today, Islamic governments have a serious responsibility. I want to be blunt with them: now is not the time for politeness, hesitation, or neutrality. Today is not the time for silence.

If any Islamic government, in any way or under any pretext, supports the Zionist regime — whether by normalizing relations, blocking aid to Palestine, or justifying Zionist crimes — know this: eternal disgrace will be stamped on their foreheads.

Governments should also understand: no government can achieve security by relying on the Zionist regime. They cannot obtain security through dependence on this regime, because the Zionist regime is, by the decisive will of God, in the process of collapse, and God willing, it will not last long.

| For those who missed it, read again what Imam Khamenei (H) said to the Americans—sharply and without compromise:

“Who do you think you are? Why do you interfere in whether Iran should have uranium enrichment or not? What business is it of yours?
You possess nuclear capabilities. You hold atomic bombs. The power to annihilate entire populations sits in your hands so with what right do you dictate to Iran?

This is a sovereign nation. The Iranian people will decide for themselves. It has nothing to do with you.
You have no legal, no moral standing to make these demands.”

These weren’t just words. They were a direct slap to Washington and Tel Avivwho parade their war machines around the world, yet expect nations like Iran to kneel.

They heard it. They know what it means. And if they think this is just rhetoric, they’re welcome to try and test the will behind those words.

🚩 | Husayni Resistance (3): 8th Zilhijj 60 Hijri: Imam Husayn (A) left Makkah for his final journey (towards Kufah but ended in Karbala):

...Four months
ago, When Imam Husayn (A) entered in Makkah; Just After two days the people of Kufa sent about 150 letters, each of which was from one, two or four men. Most of these letters were brought from Kufa to Makkah by Qays bin Mashar Saidawi, Abdur Rahman bin Abdullah bin Shaddad Arhabi and Ammara bin Abdullah Saluli.

Letter said: "This is a letter to Husayn bin Ali from his Muslim and faithful supporters. Be quick and hurry up, for the people are waiting for you, and they do not look towards anyone other than you. Hurry up. Hurry up. We repeat: Make haste. Make haste. And peace be upon you."

Thereafter Shabas bin Rabie, Hajjar bin Abjar, Yazid bin Harith bin Ruwaym, Urwah bin Qays, Amr bin Hajjaj Zubaydi and Muhammad bin Amr Taymi wrote the following letter:

"The gardens and the deserts are green and fresh and the fruits have ripened. Proceed whenever you like. Your Iraqi soldiers are ready to receive you. And peace by upon you".

After spending four months and five days in Mecca, Imam Husayn (A) left on Tuesday, the 8th of Zilhijj, 60 AH (September 9, 680 CE), which was the Day of Tarwiyah. This was also the day when Muslim bin Aqil was martyred in Kufa. According to many reports, hundreds or even thousands of letters had been sent to Imam Husayn (A) inviting him to Kufa. Shaykh Abbas Qummi mentions the number as 12,000 letters from the people of Kufa asking for his leadership. At that time, Imam Husayn (A) set out with 82 people, including sixty Shi’a from Kufa who had pledged loyalty to him. His caravan included family members, close friends, and followers.

There are different views about the nature of Imam Husayn’s (A) pilgrimage when he left Makkah. Some scholars, including al-Shaykh al-Mufid, say that Imam Husayn (A) changed his niyya (intention) from completing Hajj to performing al-‘Umra al-Mufrada and thus left the state of ihram. Other scholars argue that Imam Husayn’s (A) original intention had been to perform only the al-‘Umra al-Mufrada and that he left Mecca after completing its rituals. This point is important because it shows that Imam Husayn’s (A) departure was not a simple religious trip but the beginning of a larger mission.

In the last month of his stay in Makkah, as the likelihood of his departure for Kufa increased, many people tried to stop him. Among them were Abdullah bin Abbas and Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyya, who spoke to Imam Husayn (A) and urged him not to go. Their efforts failed and Imam Husayn (A) remained firm in his decision.

As Imam Husayn (A) and his companions left Makkah, they were confronted by Yahya bin Sa’id, commander of the guards for ‘Amr bin Sa’id bin ‘As, the governor of Makkah. Yahya blocked their path with soldiers, ordering them to return. Imam Husayn (A) ignored this and moved forward. A fight broke out, but Imam Husayn (A) and his group resisted firmly and continued their journey.

Before leaving, Imam Husayn (A) gave each of his fellow travelers ten gold dinars and a camel to carry their luggage. This practical support helped prepare the caravan for the difficult road ahead. This detail is recorded in sources like Al Makhzoon fi Tasleeyatul Mahzoon. The caravan was both a family group and a determined group of supporters ready for what lay ahead.

The poet Farazdaq also tells of meeting Imam Husayn (A) as he left Mecca. Farazdaq saw him fully armed and equipped and asked why he was hastening his departure. Imam Husayn (A) replied that if he delayed, he would be arrested. When Farazdaq asked about the situation in Iraq, Imam Husayn (A) said that while the hearts of the people were with him, their swords were against him. He accepted that everything was by Allah’s will and that those with pure intentions would not be harmed unjustly.

Imam Husayn’s (A) departure from Makkah on the 8th of Zilhijj was the start of a historic and tragic journey.
