So, after Trump allegedly lifted sanctions on Syria and got assurances in return, from Jolani, that Syria would normalise with Israel under the Jared Kushner-brokered Abraham Accords - here is Marco Rubio (honorable?) with the stick after the carrot. He basically outlines the US plans for Syria since pre-2011. Of course, it is all the fault of Assad, nothing to do with Operation Timber Sycamore, British Intelligence, Obama, Trump, Biden or the Clintons all acting in defence of Israel. Nope, nothing to do with that.

Rubio harks back to the ‘Arab Spring’ another CIA operation in the region (see Journeyman, the Revolution Business if you don’t believe me). What Rubio is alluding to is the Clean Break doctrine strategy (1997) and even John Kerry talked liberally about Plan B which was actually Plan A, the partioning of Syria into sectarian statelets. in other words, the fragmentation of an inclusive and secular society into warring and competing factions confined by ever decreasing borders.

Meanwhile the US is moving the goalposts for Iran pushing them into a corner of ‘no Uranium enrichment’ none..at all. The US knows making this a red line is a red line for Iran. They know this because this is what the US does in negotiations - make it impossible for the ‘other’ to accept the US deal and then the US can cry ‘war’ to punish the ‘other’ for not accepting a deal that threatens their national security and development as a peaceful sovereign nation. Yesterday, around 5 am, a drone and ground attack was carried out against the Russian Hemeimim base on the coast. Security points were attacked and there were reports of injuries to Russian forces. The following is translated from Russian:
