In Jableh, Ali Jihad Fares, a young inventor celebrated for building the world’s smallest satellite, was found dead amid a surge in coastal killings. On April 22, Ibrahim Nader Hammoud, a resident of Balqasa, Homs, died under torture in an HTS prison, days after being seized in a village-wide arrest operation.
The violence reached Aleppo’s Sheikh Saad neighborhood with the execution of six Alawite civilians: Hassan Abdel Majeed Darwish Mido, Hussein Hassan Darwish Mido, Lawyer Alaa Ahmed Darwish Mido, Abdel Fattah Abdel Raouf Darwish Mido, Shaaban Pasha, and one other unnamed victim—ambushed and murdered by HTS militants on motorcycles.
