This noble ancestry, particularly through Hasan al-Aftas, son of Ali al-Asghar, situates Sayyid Khamenei within the Aftasi branch of the Fatimid line. His grave remains marked by a modest shrine, and his legacy was revived in historical records by scholars during the Safavid period.
