As a basic swap, what should we cook our food with?
🚫 Absolutely no, never, ever: Processed/refined oils such as canola, soy, and corn — they are refined and processed with numerous chemicals and solvents
♨️ At low heats: olive oil and avocado oil (make sure it is cold pressed, unrefined, and single-source)
✅ Preferably and at any heat: butter, ghee, [halal] tallow, coconut oil
❕ If economic conditions are an issue to buying healthy fat sources like butter and tallow, then a more plentiful and low-cost option is unrefined, cold-pressed, organic sesame and sunflower oils. Unrefined and cold-pressed versions are sometimes not easy to find (thank God, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, there are many places that sell pure, unprocessed sesame and sunflower oils).
