🟡 Important | Night of Burial Prayer for the Martyrs of the Lebanese Resistance:
◾️Today, February 23, 2025; the pure bodies of Martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Martyr Sayyid Hashem Safi al-Din will be laid to rest in Dahiyeh, Beirut.
Please do not forget to perform the Night of Burial Prayer (Salat Laylat al-Dafn) for these two great martyrs and remind others to do the same.
1) Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, son of Sayyid Abdul Karim
2) Sayyid Hashem Safi al-Din, son of Sayyid Reza
The Night of Burial Prayer (Salat Laylat al-Dafn) is a recommended prayer offered on the first night after burial as a gift for the deceased. It is also known as the Gift Prayer or Prayer of Solace.
This two-unit (Rak‘ah) prayer has three known methods. According to the most common narration:
• In the first Rak‘ah, after Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayat al-Kursi is recited once.
• In the second Rak‘ah, after Surah Al-Fatiha, Surah Al-Qadr is recited ten times.
• The reward of this prayer is then gifted to the deceased.
The best time to perform this prayer is after the Isha prayer, but it can be offered anytime from the beginning of the night until dawn on the first night after burial.
