Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah was the leader of the greatest Islamic awakening organization, which nurtured Hezbollah and played a pivotal role in shaping the region. He benefited from all forms of support, but beyond that, he was a jurist, a reputed faqih of this era, excelling both academically and spiritually. He achieved a rare mastery of Islamic education and successfully implemented Qur’anic principles in real-world resistance—something few have ever accomplished.

Today, do not let this moment pass. Step out of your homes, wherever you are in the world. If you truly love him, then love the cause for which he attained martyrdom. Celebrate his legacy, mourn his departure. On February 23, let us come together—organize processions, seminars, mourning ceremonies, and cultural events. The resistance in Lebanon suffered a loss, there is no greater loss than the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan—may God have mercy on him. Senior military commanders, whom we know and who have fought since day one.

I want to speak frankly: we did not ask Hezbollah to support us militarily. We met with Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah on the evening of October 8. He had already begun firing on israel at dawn on October 8, less than 24 hours after the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. When we met him, he explained to us how he had convened with his leadership and made the decision. He told us, “This is support for you, and the goal is for Gaza to achieve victory, and for Hamas to emerge victorious from the battle.”

We asked him, “To what extent?” He said, “Even if it turns into a major battle.”

This was Hezbollah’s position; they made this decision independently. We did not request it, nor did Iran send him a message instructing him to take this step.

Here, I want to say something for the sake of history: read the situation properly to arrive at the right conclusions. Iran does not have an operations room issuing encrypted or unencrypted orders and sending them to Hamas, Ansarallah, Hezbollah, or others. We are in agreement that our enemy is israel, and we cooperate in that regard, supporting one another.”
