🌷 | Invitation | As we are heading towards the birth anniversary of the Twelfth Imam, Imam Muhammad Al-Mahdi (A), may Allah honor him the best as He honored His Prophets and their Ahlulbayt, we invite you to think about Imam Mahdi (A); as the crypto-Wahhabi cults around the globe, which have remained in the name of Islamic radicalism and so-called revivalism, have removed the true essence of Islam from their hearts, making them super radical. This radicalism is tantamount to the Western form of Christianity and rejection of divine personalities and symbols, which leads to a heartless community.

There is an ijma’ (consensus) on this issue: Imam Mahdi (A) will appear, and no sect contradicts this. The issue to write here is not to remind and incite readers on the path towards research, but rather to avoid sectarian narratives and discourses that both reject each other.

Whatever is ongoing is must related and pre-described in the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (S) and Imams (A), who forwarded them as they are, and the companions who described them. This notion clarifies that Imam Mahdi (A) will reappear at a time when such and such events will occur.

The question arises: If Imam Mahdi (A) is not the son of the 11th Imam, and has not been born and will not be born, how can he bring back the real Muhammadi Islam as it is? Despite all sects accepting this, no one can present the same Islam as it is due to the lack of a large corpus of information and sources today. The tafseers (exegesis) also have issues, and academic debates remain unresolved. Another overlay of insults is imposed by the Nawasib and Takfiri Khawarij, who came out from the non-mainstream Sunnis, claiming that Imam Mahdi (A) is not born. Let us recheck whether it is true or not or if there are some grounds to revisit, inviting on common grounds, whether he was born or not.

Let us check what earlier sources of Ahlul Sunnah say and on what basis such notions are spread that Imam Mahdi (A) has not been born. Also, how a new wave of insults against Imam Mahdi (A) and his mother is being spread in the Deobandi-Wahhabi-Takfiri cults around the globe. These groups are now commonly terming him as “Shia’s Imam,” saying “they made their Imams,” and some even claim “he disappeared in a basement and later died.” This is a spread of lies, and not a single Shia book or paragraph has been written which says such things. These are false beliefs spread as slander against Shiites.

Mausau fil Muaqif il Salaf fil Aqidah Manhaj wa Tarbiyah of Salafis, Vol. 8 talks about Safarini, whose book Al-Aqidah Safariniya (page 78) discusses the existence and birth of Imam Mahdi, the son of Imam Hasan Askari. In Muruj al-Zahab (page 160), the famous Sunni scholar Al-Masudi (a Shafi’i) narrates that in the middle of Sha’ban, the son of Imam Hasan Askari was born. In the major Sunni compilation Tabaqat al-Nassabeen by Abu Bakr Abu Zaid (page 82), a book called Sirr al-Silsilat al-Alawiya talks about the birth of the son of Imam Hasan Askari, Muhammad.

This research was carried out by Abu Nasr Bukhari, a senior Sunni Imam and genealogist. The book Sira A’lam al-Nubala by Imam Dhahabi mentions this as well. It also appears in Al-Mutadhammil al-Tarikh Muluk wa al-Umam by Abulfaraj Ibn Jauzi (page 129). The famous Shafi’i scholar Yahya Ibn Salamah al-Askafi, a celebrated Mufti of Syria and doyenne of the Shafi’i Sunni school, also mentions this in his work.

There is also a couplet from Imam Askafi which mentions Imam Askari’s son, Imam Mahdi, who is hidden and will reappear. If he is killed, the belief will remain unchanged. Many other Sunni scholars and works confirm the belief of the birth of Imam Mahdi (A) and his hidden status until his reappearance, aligning with the Shia Usuli belief.

We request you all to research and find the basis and consensus over this issue with guidance from experts and scholars, and understand the narratives. It is crucial to strive hard for the safety and respect of Imam Mahdi (A), who is the son of Imam Hasan Askari, son of Imam Hadi, son of Imam Naqi, son of Imam Ali Ridha, son of Imam Musa Kazim, son of Imam Ja’far Sadiq, son of Imam Muhammad Baqir, son of Imam Sajjad, son of Imam Husayn (A).

We congratulate you all on this auspicious occasion and we hope that whatever the beliefs are about Imam Mahdi (A), the communal belief about his reappearance and appearance must be preserved. The historical symbols and attributes associated with him should be respected and protected instead of being distorted and demeaned in the name of Shia-phobia, which only brings the wrath of Allah. It is essential to maintain the sanctity and respect of this belief, ensuring that it remains a source of unity rather than division.

We had the honor of knowing the martyr Ahmad Al-Ali personally, as some of our youth served alongside him until his last moments on the frontlines of Al-Qusayr. He was a truthful man in the field, courageous in battle, and steadfast in his principles. However, unfortunately, what has become of his channel after his martyrdom does not honor his path nor his resistance legacy.

We supported “Al-Mihwar Al-Suri” multiple times, trusting those who took over its management, believing they would follow in the martyr’s footsteps. But we were shocked to find that the current administrator is irresponsible in media reporting, deliberately spreading dubious information that had catastrophic consequences, leading to the arrest of dozens of our people due to inaccurate news.

👈 Some of the Most Catastrophic Mistakes:

▪️ Spreading false news about the withdrawal of terrorist groups from the coast on the night of the rumor about Maher Al-Assad’s return, which led some civilians to act on this misinformation, resulting in mass arrests.
▪️ In contrast, we in the Syrian Popular Resistance issued clear warnings to our people, urging them not to believe such rumors and to stay home for their safety.
▪️ Anyone who wants to verify can check our past posts—we have not deleted any, unlike them, because our approach is clear and responsible.

👈 Fabrication and Media Misinformation:

▪️ They published a forged statement bearing the name and logo of the Syrian Popular Resistance, proving their immaturity and deceptive tactics.
▪️ We contacted them through their channel’s communication bot to warn them about this fake statement, but we received no clear response, further confirming their dishonest intentions.

👈 Stealing Videos and Misattributing Them to Nonexistent Operations:

▪️ They published video clips claiming they were of operations targeting terrorist gangs in Syria. In reality, these were taken from Palestinian channels and showed Palestinian resistance operations against a Zionist checkpoint in Jenin.
▪️ We will attach proof so that everyone can see how public opinion is being manipulated and how facts are being distorted under the guise of resistance.

The Syrian Popular Resistance has never and will never base itself on lies or false propaganda. We are a real resistance, fighting in the field and conducting our battles in silence, far from media theatrics that do nothing but mislead our people and endanger them.
