UAE’s funding is reaching local terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda and Daesh, further fueling instability in the region. Rwanda is once again in trouble, with terrorist groups like M23 re-emerging and spreading chaos in the cities. Meanwhile, Sudan’s massacre continues to unfold, with hospitals attacked by drones, and mass killings becoming a daily reality.

Despite these atrocities, there is no coverage, no discussions, and no serious thoughts about the ongoing crises in Africa. The deliberate silence of the global community and so-called human rights organizations is enabling this cycle of brutality and neglect to continue.

Africa’s condition continues to worsen under the deliberate neglect and exploitation of global powers, driven by their colonial and economic agendas.

We, in the Islamic Group in Lebanon, have followed the return of the people of Southern Lebanon to their destroyed towns and villages, despite the aggressive measures of the occupation, including the shooting of unarmed civilians to prevent them from reaching their destroyed homes. We also witnessed the return of tens of thousands of Gazans, walking on foot, to their destroyed homes and towns in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip. This image affirms the determination of the Southerners and Gazans to hold onto their land and their rights, and their rejection of the forced displacement projects that the Israeli occupation sought to impose as a fait accompli. In light of this scene, filled with the meanings of pride, dignity, and defiance against the occupation, we affirm the following:

• The return of the people to their towns, villages, and cities despite the destruction caused by the Israeli aggression confirms their adherence to their land and their rights, and their rejection of all displacement projects, thus definitively nullifying any attempt in this direction.

• The scene of tens of thousands of Gazans walking on foot in long lines, and the return of the Southerners despite the occupation’s assaults, marks the beginning of the demise and end of the Israeli occupation entity. No more emigration or displacement, but liberation and return.

• We honor the stance, resilience, and patience of the Southerners and Gazans, highly appreciating the sacrifices they made and endured. We believe this has eliminated any opportunity for the occupiers to think of remaining in Palestine.

• The return of the Southerners and Gazans to their destroyed homes has confirmed that the true axis of the conflict is with the Israeli occupation. Any diversion of this axis is a distortion of the true purpose of the struggle and an attempt to distort the clear image of the victory achieved over the occupation.
