Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah, in Bent Jbeil today, was asked by Al-Manar about why Hezbollah keeps giving the state more chances despite its failure to defend the people.

His response: “We have always called for the establishment of a strong, capable, and just state. This is not new. We will not stop calling for the establishment of this state when it fails to take advantage of these chances. No one should think that we make these statements because the Resistance is weak. I assure the people that their Resistance is fine and still very capable, but people cannot live in a country where the state has no authority, where there is no justice, and where there are groups that depend on external parties to attempt the abolition of others.”

Fadlallah further stated: “If the state wants to convince the people of the border region that it is the basis for protecting sovereignty and confronting the occupation, it must prove by all available means that it is worthy of stopping Israeli violations and attacks.”

He added: “The enemy is now shooting at people in Aitaroun and elsewhere. If one of the villagers shoots at the enemy to protect himself and his family because there is no protection, can anyone blame him or stop him?”

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

It is a glorious day of Allah, and a majestic scene of glory and dignity written by the great people of the resistance, who have proven once again that they are the people rooted in their land, clinging to every grain of soil in it, the faithful guardian of the sovereignty of the homeland, and who do not bow before any threat or aggression.

Since 2000 until today, the scene is repeated, as our people prove that they are the true leaders of the path of victory, with their heroic resistance renewing the defeat of the enemy, confirming that there is no place for an occupier in this blessed land, in which every grain of soil has been watered with the blood of martyrs.

The scene of those returning to their villages, carrying pictures of the martyrs and the banners of the resistance, embodies the highest meanings of steadfastness, endurance and victory, and confirms that this people, with their indomitable will and unwavering steadfastness, constitutes the strongest weapon of the resistance, that force that our martyr and beloved, the master of the nation’s martyrs, His Eminence Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (may God be pleased with him), has always described as “the point of strength that no one can defeat.” The people of the resistance have proven that they are loyal to their pure blood, and that no matter how powerful the invaders are, they are unable to withstand this blessed popular flood that has drawn with its steps and direction one path, the liberation of the land and the final defeat of the occupier.

As we in Hezbollah bow in reverence to the greatness of the resistance people, we affirm that the equation of the army, the people and the resistance that protects Lebanon from the treachery of enemies is not ink on paper, but rather a reality that the Lebanese live daily, and embody it through their steadfastness and sacrifices.

We call on all Lebanese to stand together with their people in the south, to renew together the meanings of national solidarity and to build true sovereignty whose title is liberation and victory. We stress that the international community, headed by the countries sponsoring the agreement, is required today to assume its responsibilities in the face of the violations and crimes of the Israeli enemy and to oblige it to withdraw completely from our lands.

We salute the souls of the martyrs and the wounded who drew with their blood the path to liberation and victory. We consider that these great moments that our country is experiencing today are nothing but a confirmation that Lebanon, with its people, resistance, and free sons, is the country of pride and dignity.
