When Imam Khamenei says the resistance will expand and span the entire region, he is not bluffing. Some years ago, he said that the West Bank should be armed.
All of a sudden, in a region that was mostly known for slingshots and stones, has now become a hotbed for assault rifles used against the Zionist enemy, in Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarem, and others, which have humiliated the regime. The Lion's Den in addition to branches of Islamic Jihad and Hamas in the West Bank have quite rapidly changed from stones to bullets. Martyr Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, Martyr Abu Shujaa, and others are the shining heroes of this command from the Leader.
Just as the Zionists thought they were comfortable in Beirut in 1982, they started to get blown to bits thanks to the valiant efforts of the nascent Hezbollah and its precursors (in the period between the Zionist invasion and the official declaration of Hezbollah a few years later).
This history will repeat itself in Syria. Laugh now, cry later. Mount Hermon may be covered in snow, but soon it will be a firey BBQ for Zionist invaders.

Just as it was not the fault of Imam Ali (as) that the people of Kufa told the Imam that they would kill him if he didn't accept negotiations with the deceitful enemy, and if he didn't accept their choice for the chief negotiator, the naive donkey Abu Musa Ashari. The sincere leaders of a divine cause should not be blamed for the ignorance and treachery of the masses. Rather, it is us who should improve ourselves and increase our awareness and strive to wake others up with jihadul tabyeen (the struggle of clarification of the truth). As Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, He does not change a society until the people change themselves first. We should look ourselves in the mirror instead of daring to slander the sincere leader of a divine movement.
