The Islamic Republic of Iran hanged a rapist in Hamadan this morning after legal proceedings. Mohammad Ali Salamat, known as Ali Salamat, was publicly executed after being convicted of raping and harassing more than 200 women and girls in Hamadan.

While Iran is the only Muslim country in the region that pardons tens of thousands of prisoners each year on various Islamic occasions, this is done by the order of the Leader of the Revolution, who receives a monthly report on those deserving full or partial pardon for forgivable crimes. The leader himself allocates billions to assist those unable to pay the required fines. However, crimes like rape, murder, and pedophilia are never pardoned. After thorough legal proceedings, rapists are executed publicly in the presence of adults, with the Leader of the Revolution scrutinise the justice process after judiciary.
