Tensions escalated in the city of Bhagalpur, Bihar, when a Hindutva mob climbed a mosque and a Hussainiya (Imambara) and hoisted a saffron flag while waving an Israeli flag. This incident occurred during the Kali Visarjan Yatra near Tamtam Chowk under the Lalmatia Police Station.

A video captured the radical mob climbing onto the mosque dome, installing the large saffron flag, and encouraging others to wave the Israeli flags. The video was later shared on Instagram with derogatory songs about the Muslim community, heightening tensions. After the video went viral, police were alerted and acted swiftly to restore order by clearing the immersion route and reassuring the public. Additional forces, including the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), were deployed to prevent further incidents in the communally sensitive area.

On November 3, police addressed the incident on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that an FIR had been filed. They stated, “Bhagalpur Police has received a video showing a youth waving a flag at a religious place near Tamtam Chowk. An FIR has been lodged at the Lalmatia police station, and further legal action is being taken.”

This incident appears staged and may be operated by certain hate-mongering groups. We urge everyone to expose the hidden terror of Hindutva extremism, which seeks to emulate the violence of its counterparts in Israel. This agenda needs to be stopped.
