🇮🇷 Report | An excerpt from the 2020 interview of the former head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen, Shaheed Sayyid Hashim Safiaddin (r), with Khamenei.ir:

❁ “When the American enemy targeted the great commander Haj Qassim Soleimani (r), their goal was to send a message. What was that message? The American enemy wanted to convey to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance front in the region: ‘Stop.’ The American enemy wanted to send this message to Imam Khamenei (H), the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hezbollah of Lebanon, the resistance groups in Palestine, the Yemeni resistance, the forces of Hashd al-Shaabi, and the resistance forces in Syria: ‘Stop! I have killed the symbol of your resistance.’

❁ When Imam Khamenei (H) delivered that Friday sermon, it was a clear message and immediate response to the Americans. His message was: ‘We will not stop, and we will continue on our path.’

❁ The key question is, why does the Western and Arab media attack Imam Khamenei (H) so extensively? If Imam Khamenei (H) has no influence over Islam and the Arab world, why are such widespread attacks needed? It is evident that these attacks are due to the fear of his influence. The enemy knows well that his influence is increasing day by day. They create obstacles and sometimes label him as the ‘leader of the Persian Empire’ or ‘Iranian-Persian.’ Their aim is to prevent people from listening to Imam Khamenei (H). Sometimes they cite relations between Iran, America, and Europe as an excuse. These attacks and rumors indicate the importance of Imam Khamenei (H) on the global stage.

❁ Essentially, Imam Khamenei’s (H) path is the same as that of Imam Khomeini (r). He takes pride in being a student of Imam Khomeini’s (r) school of thought. So, we are talking about the same path, not two or separate paths. This is one path and one leadership.

❁ Haj Qassim Soleimani (r) was always active. He would come and go to convey guidance and glad tidings to the resistance fighters. His goal was to ensure that the fighters were always encouraged and firmly engaged in their defense. Haj Qassim Soleimani (r) would often bring glad tidings from the Leader of the Revolution (H) and would repeatedly convey the Leader’s words to us: ‘You will be victorious, and this battle is like the battle of the trench (Khandaq), where there were trials of patience and endurance.’ These were the words that Haj Qassim (r) would convey to us from the Leader of the Revolution, and they greatly helped boost our morale.

❁ It can be said about Hezbollah that this group was fundamentally formed within the framework of the revolutionary culture and vilayat-based (guardianship) concept of the Islamic Revolution. We all know that the Quds Force has some specific characteristics in various aspects. When the foundation of Islamic resistance was laid in Lebanon, we identified these characteristics and traits right from the beginning. Haj Qassim's (r) arrival further strengthened this positive and firm relationship, based on which we continue to receive training. We considered Haj Qassim (r) to be an ideal example for those following the true and revolutionary concepts of vilayat.
