She was arrested, but unfortunately due to reformist threats and pressure she was released from jail despite lighting a fire that killed many innocent people, all based on a lie. CCTV footage showed no case of beatings and all autopsy reports showed she died of a pre-existing medical condition. Even the medical advisor to Reza Pahlavi, who claims to be the king of Iran, admits that Amini did not die of police beatings (because he realizes that it is not advantageous to their regime change cause to run with a disprovable lie and should come up with a better lie for next time).
