6. Sajed Shawqi Shreih - Volunteer Paramedic
7. Hassan Ali Al-Khansa - Volunteer Paramedic

This tragic event added a painful addition in the perilous conditions under which these medics operate, as they fulfill their humanitarian duties amidst escalating battle.

In another incident, an airstrike by the IOF targeted a Civil Defense team from the Islamic Health Authority in Arnoun Al-Shaqif (Nabatiyeh district), resulting in the martyrdom of a paramedic and injuries to six others. Reports from Al-Manar indicate that several members of the Lebanese Army and the Lebanese Red Cross were also injured due to a zionist drone strike while they were providing critical assistance in Taybeh.

The Lebanese Red Cross has mobilized seven teams to evacuate the wounded from southern Lebanon, as the IOF has increasingly targeted paramedics from both the Islamic Health Authority and the Islamic Scout Association. This deliberate targeting of medical personnel represents a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which mandates the protection of those providing medical care in conflict zones.

All major Shia authorities, following Imam Khamenei, have called upon their followers (muqallideen) to donate one-fourth (1/4) of their Khums to support the Muslims of Lebanon who are suffering during this ongoing crisis.

Khums, an Islamic religious tax, is traditionally levied on the surplus income of Shia Muslims and is typically divided into two parts: one half goes to the Imam (or his representatives), and the other half is allocated for the welfare of the needy and community projects.

Imam Khamenei has permitted and urged his muqallideen to contribute in this manner, it was also followed by prominent scholars such as Ayatollah Sistani in Najaf, Iraq, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, and Ayatollah Jawadi Amoli in Qum, Iran.

In addition to these religious appeals, there has been a significant influx of Iranians and foreigners in Iran, visiting the offices of these authorities, particularly that of Imam Khamenei, to donate their valuables, including jewelry, homes, and other expensive items, for this noble cause.

As the situation in Lebanon continues to worsen, Shia communities are showing solidarity through financial support, challenging others to join in their efforts and emphasize their commitment to assisting those in need.
