The Respect of Hazrat Abbas (AS) Towards his Elder Brother, Imam al-Husayn (AS)
Do we actually follow the values he upheld?
As we approach the 8th Night of Muharram, the night dedicated to Hazrat Abbas (AS), the younger brother of Imam al-Husayn (AS), we all will mourn his sacrifice and listen to his Masa'ib and heart-breaking eulogy. Hazrat Abbas (AS) is well known for his loyalty and respect, especially towards Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (AS), his elder brother.
However, it is very important to understand that merely shedding tears for Hazrat Abbas (AS) holds little value if we fail to embody the very virtues he exemplified, in our own lives. The tears we shed in his remembrance should not just be an expression of sorrow but a reflection of our commitment to uphold the principles he lived and got martyred for. The values such as respect, kindness, and humility towards our siblings, particularly those older than us, are fundamental values that Hazrat Abbas (AS) demonstrated throughout his life.
The essence of crying effectively for Hazrat Abbas (AS) lies in aligning our actions with his teachings. If we fail to show respect and compassion towards our own siblings, our tears become hollow gestures, devoid of true meaning and sincerity. Hazrat Abbas (AS) did not just respect Imam al-Husayn in words... he manifested his reverence through his actions, standing by his brother in the most trying of times and sacrificing his life for the sake of his brother's noble mission.
In our daily lives, we must strive to treat our elder siblings with the same level of respect and honour that Hazrat Abbas (AS) showed towards Imam al-Husayn. This means respecting them, listening to them, valuing their advice, and supporting them in times of need. Kindness should permeate our interactions, reflecting the love and care that Hazrat Abbas (AS) had for his elder brother. Humility should guide us to recognise the importance of our siblings' roles in our lives and to appreciate the wisdom, support and experience they offer.
By living these values, our tears during the 8th Night of Muharram and as well as on the day of Ashura, will transform from mere drops of sorrow into profound expressions of our dedication to the principles of Islam. We honour Hazrat Abbas (AS) not only by mourning his sacrifice but by striving to emulate his noble character in our relationships. In doing so, we ensure that our grief is not superficial but deeply rooted in a commitment to the virtues that Hazrat Abbas (AS) championed.
Therefore, as we gather to mourn on the 8th Night of Muharram, we must remember that true respect for Hazrat Abbas (AS) extends beyond our tears. It is reflected in how we treat our own siblings, how we embody his spirit of loyalty and respect in our daily interactions. Only then can our tears hold true value and our mourning be a sincere homage to the exemplary life of Hazrat Abbas (AS).
Below is the valuable words of the Imam Zayn al-Abideen (AS) regarding Hazrat Abbas (AS):
“May Allah have mercy upon my uncle, al-’Abbas. He preferred his brother to himself; he did well, and sacrificed himself for his brother until he lost his two hands for the sake of this. Thus, instead of his two hands, Allah will give him two wings with which he will fly with the angels in Paradise, just like Ja’far ibn Abi-Talib. In the sight of Allah the Blessed, the Exalted, al-’Abbas enjoys a peculiar rank for which all the shahids will be hopeful for if they had its like on the day of Resurrection.”

Al-Khisaal, Shaykh al-Saduq, page 68, Hadith 101]

✅ Beware:
We have been reminding and exposing the growth Pro-Palestine mushrooms around and near to the Pro-Armed-River to sea-Palestinian protests from the first day of war:
If you’re active in Western political and social circles, the claim that people are ‘waking up’ to the crimes and atrocities in Gaza will seem bizarre and out of touch.
This is because NGOs are tirelessly working to rewrite and falsify the general Western perspective.
It’s in their interest to deceive the local populations fighting for their lives, making them believe that acquiring arms and capabilities to match the imperial regime is outdated, strategically unwise, and morally wrong because Westerners are supposedly waking up.
The marketing around ‘people are waking up’ is perhaps the most potent soft war weapon the American regime uses to buy time to develop a first-strike capability against every late-emerging economy.
Emerging states can protect their people from this manipulation by establishing a national internet communication infrastructure. However, they are often swayed by the economic benefits of integrating into the “internet highway,” the “digital village,” and the “international community.”
Individuals who understand this manipulation are often isolated, with limited means to counter the lies fed to the local masses by leftist politicians, TikTok influencers, and NGO operatives who boast about their reach and effectiveness.

✅ Regarding Trump and his drama, we have zero seconds to waste on such trivial matters. It’s not worth even a mosquito’s wing. Muharram and the battle are ongoing, and only fools waste time over such things.
What we know is that a poster shared by Imam Khamenei in 2021 showed an image of Trump, who left office on Wednesday, playing golf under the shadow of a drone or warplane.
Imam Khamenei already remarked and emphasized three times that revenge is not connected to staged warfare but absolute action by our men to kill Pompeo, Trump, Bolton and those who were involved in the assassination of commanders, It is said that almost Secret Service paid over $12 million for a year's protection of these 2 Trump advisers from potential Iranian threats.
Already 90 or 91 officers are already killed from Mossad and CIA mysteriously.
